how about just merging these threads as they pop up as well as telling the NOOBs to search.
I can count about half a dozen or so PROJECTOR HOUSING threads in just the first 10 pages or so of the W203 forum.

Got HID kit with different color bulbs...
So I ordered a Mtec 6000K HID kit, got them installed to find out one bulb is like really deep blue and the other is purple/white color... BOTH say 6000k on the bulb...
Has anyone ever experience this?

Don't know but why did you start a new thread. The mods have just cleaned up. If you post to an old thread it still puts you top of the queue!

Doesn't worry me but I feel sorry for the mods - I've read all the BiX/HID threads and don't remember anyone experiencing this problem with BiX = Present - I would just do it

Just do it. No problems. There's a separate setting for auto-leveling...
leave it off unless it's installed.

Can Bus HID fool
Hello all, Sorry my first post is a question, but I searched and couldnt find a quick answer.
I know from my Jeep SRT and my Sahara the CANBus system needed to be fooled by a capacitor when installing aftermarket HID's. The factory system could tell when the load was incorrect from the standard H7 bulb. Thus making the HID flicker or not work at all. I am sure the answer is somewhere on the site but I could not find it.
So what size capacitor or resistor is need...? Thanks for your help.
I was one of the pioneers on the Jeep SRT8 forum and contributed as much as possible to the modification and performance end. I hope to do the same here.

The other way to do it is to go to the dealership and have them use their Star computer to program the Xenon=present setting. This is not something that they normally do, so you may need to take printouts. They may not even do it for you.

There are 2 ways to do this on a Mercedes, the first is to use resistors, the proper resistance should be 35w, 2200uf.

Ummmm....resistors aren't measured in Farads. That would be Ohhhhhmmmms.
Say it slowly....oooooooohhhhhhhmmmm.....like a mantra.
What I can tell you is I have an aftermarket HID kit here in my hands,
and they use a 10000 microF 25V cap in parallel with the power, and that worked on my car for the day or so I had this kit installed.
No resistors needed.
And if you DID use resistors, you'd only need to make the computer think
you were using 20watts more than you are,
but still thats gonna get REAL hot and pose a serious fire or electrical hazard.
But that being said, 20/12= 1.6 amps.
12/1.6= 7.5 Ohms. And you'd want a 30 watt minumum rated resistor, and mount it where it can stay cool and not melt anything.
But I'd try the cap 1st.
