I know its my opinion but I havent seen any black projectors on any W203s yet so I was thinking about being the first but I have no idea how it would look. I will also either paint my stock grill black or get the 3 slat grill in black to make them blend if I do go with this. I was just hoping someone had pics of the red with these lights or even Photoshop them.
Temjinx2 post pics if you can on the black projectors on your silver C32.

HID's
I dont have a lot of time at the moment but I wanted to know something that was bothering me, I did a brief search. How exactly do I install HID's in my 2006 c230 SS?
#1386
Yup there's a diy on e-class section. You'll need to install a 2200uf, 35w capacitors from radioshack on each side. Other than that it's plug N play. Total cost under $100.

Joe, I received your PM. The instructions I pasted in my post above were from the guy on ebay I purchased them from.
As others have said, it's supposed to be a plug and play. I had my bumper replaced and had them install the headlights when they changed out my bumper. I didn't do the install myself so I can't tell you first hand. The dealership told me it was in fact "plug and play". I wanted to know because if they weren't, I was going to leave appropriate feedback on ebay for the seller.
If you can't figure it out and dont want to pay someone to do the install for you, I would write the seller. He should be the one that can answer your questions quickly and easily since he is the one that put it together.
And it looks like you finally received some love from the mod above....albeit tough love.lol

Yeah, I would leave appropriate feedback for the seller......
By definition of Plug and Play, is, big surprise....Plug it in and it works.....All that extra work is garbage.......
It's hard for ppl to help you because there is so little to go on.... If you were local I could probably help you with the install, there's nothing to it except to find which wire does what and attach them.....But since you are not and I can't see anything hands on, it's going to be hard to do. If you want to save a few bucks, either go to your dealer and ask for some sort of wiring diagram for the headlight plug or buy yourself a multimeter and figure out what powers what..... Not that I really have a choice with the coupe....but you should have bought OEM especially with the sedan, would have saved you a trip to a shop and possibly a lot of cash which would have balanced out the difference between a good set of OEMs versus your pain in the *** aftermarkets.

$400
bucks for 2 low beam hid's?
with this caveat in the instructions.
* Although DIY is possible. PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION is RECOMMENDED, NO instruction will be included except the manufacturer's original ones if there is any."
If you had factory xenons for the low beams already, why did you change? If you had h7 halogens you would be up over 300 bucks by installing the h7 65 watt rally bulbs from www.danielsternlighting.com
2 hints
1.read the small print.
2.If you ever do any household wiring jobs, hire an electrician.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
no one is bothering to post, because its already been covered many times. i even covered it on the thread i linked you too and my hid retrofit post.
Since it seems like you have no luck...i'll post. Basically your red is your + and the black is your ground. You can get a volt meter and figure out which is the correct + and - from the head light harness and then splice it into the harness.
Be warned, that if your car came with halogens and not hids stock you do run the risk of frying your oem harness because the halogen harness was not originally designed to draw the amps needed to power up hids.
HID ballasts can use up to double the amount of amps halogens do during start up even though the wattage is less then halogens.
The smarter way is just spending $25 and buy a separate harness. You can connect the ballasts to the harness and have the harness directly connect to your battery.
This way, if you fry anything, you fry a $25 harness not a expensive oem harness.
Honestly, from your questions i feel you should have one of your friends with more knowledge of basic electrics do the install.
You can buy the harness here for $25

I would just use the side marker as your trigger. It will trigger a light code when you turn on your head lights, but it has no effect on performance. You just tab out of it and it disappears when you dont use your head lights.

Projector housings
I'm planning to swap out my headlight for a nice set of projector housings. Any help to finding a nice set of projector housings? I'm also working on a budget but I'll look at anything as long as it is worth the money.
