Well, I read the paperwork and it says the tech determined the noise was coming from the sunroof frame.
Hmmm.
As far as posting any part of the cd, well not very likely.
Asked about posting portions of it to sysadmin at another site, who said similar things had gotten other sites sued and shut down. But I'd be happy to provide mbworld.org with a copy and they can make their own decision. The rep who gave it to me, did so since I was complaining about the total lack of info.

Session, just make an appt. and take the car in and get the B service. You don't have to wait till the car says it's at zero.
500 before should be fine.
They fixed a bunch of other stuff too....I'll post on that later.

yes.. i'm having this done to my car right now... it's been 2 weeks.. the part was ordered 2 came in.. BOTH had cracks in the roof... they're ordering another from germany and it's on back order right now... At least i'm in a MB loaner... Still.. i went to take a look at my car the other day.. and saw the entire roof line sitting on the seats... 
Hopefully they get your part for you quicker than mine... from what my dealer says.. the roofs are on back order.. BTW be sure to check that there are no cracks in the glass before you leave.. it seems to me they are having issues shipping these roofs

I've asked my dealer to remove the NO AUDIO and NO PHONE messages; they've consistently said no.

They also removed NO AUDIO and NO PHONE for free.
I guess each dealer is very different.

Update...
I just called my dealer.. they said they got the pano roof in today.. however. IT WAS BENT!
apparently when merc ships these.. they're only on 3 washers or something.. and my dealer was saying.. maybe when they're set down to hard it bends the frame or cracks the glass.... they're talking to the parts people about it today trying to figure out another shipping method... hopefully yours turns out better than what's happening to me

whew i thought i was alone
Well, I thought I was alone about the sunroof problems, but unfortunately I seem to have a horror story. :: drumroll please. The dealership has replaced my sunroof 3 times
Not to mention a whole 'nother world of problems. I know I got a lemon but mercedes seems to not care.... atleast my dealership doesn't. Has anyone else felt like doing this 
to the dealer?

I had my roof replaced , and it works well now.. but the interior cloth panels that were removed to replace the pano roof continue to creak, and twice the interior panel fell down about an inch. Dealer can't seem to get it right.
Overall, this car has been in the shop too often compared to other cars I've had..

In any case, take a printout of how to set the "NO PHONE".

There's a way to get rid of that?
I'd still want the stations show up.
As far as the roof goes, it sounds like a pain!
Hopefully I can get it back in to get the mirror replaced
(inside rearview) as it is hanging limp.
I sit tall in the car, and the mirror blocks my view so I tend to push it aside. Apparently, my moving it back and forth was too much for the plastic pieces inside and now we're waiting for the parts. But for now it's a pain, since it serves no purpose.

My panorama roof was replaced in the first 6 months. The dealer also had a problem with the shipping which extended the shop time to about a week and a half. Make sure to check for any deep scratches they may have caused in the installation. I didn't notice right away...

well i got my new roof on now, no problems, but when they put on the new roof.. they didn't clean my car up right.. i have tape marks all over the exterior paint, and fingerprints on the interior, not to mention they folded my seats down and now i have 2 permanent dots in my leather from the seatbelt harnesses!!!!! going back in on thursday to have them fix all of that
Btw.. new coupe owners you guys all have this little black handle looking thing on the very front of your panoramic roof??? when they replaced mine it has it now!! i want to remove this since IMO it looks ugly... how can i do this?

That little black 'handle' is supposed to dampen the drumming sound that the car makes when the pano is open but the windows are closed. To me, it looks like it is just stuck on with double-sided tape, just like the badges. Haven't tried to take it off.

I have just seen the new spec 2004 C class coupe, It looks incredible, especially the interior dash.
It seems as if the panoramic roof has been discontinued, is this correct.
Does anyone know the reasons for discontinuing the panoramic roof? I know there were problems with the pre 2002 sunroofs due to squeaks and rattles but I thought his was fixed in 2003.
My 2003 model is perfect so why did MB discontinue it.

Took my c230 in for a grinding noise from the pano roof. they replaced the whole damn thing under warranty. cool. from the front pop up all the way to the back windshield. wow. i have the little lip now. no more booming noise!
big props to park place dallas. they had to keep my car longer than expected and really bent over backwards to help me keep my weekend travel plans.

Panaroma Roof
There's a kinda loud whisling sound coming out from my pnaroma roof when i opened it and over 40 mph. Everytime i hit 40mph, there's a whisling sound come out from my roof. I dunno if this is normal, Any of this problem happen to you guys?

what year coupe do you have. i have an 03 and i dont have any wistling noises. the 02's have buffeting problems because they don't have the handle on the air deflector.

i heard the deflector is just glued on. I'm not sure. I would ask the dealer and say the buffeting bothers you. That's why they made the change for the 03's and up. Maybe they can add it on.
i opened the roof and there are no holes that look the deflector is screwed on. i would think it is just put on with an adhesive. it is glass.

I have an '03 and no whistling noise either. Citron is right, and doesn't look like the deflector would be too difficult to put on. It's probably expensive because it is glass for MB to do it, but maybe if you complain loud enough of how annoying and irritating it is to drive without it, MB might do something about it. Worth a try !

If the car is under warranty take it in and complain. if not take it to the dealer and see if there might be a recall or something that might include that. it's a long shot but worst they can say is no.
