Oh that's right.. either I forgot to ask, or I just didn't pay attention to the posts. Do these DEPO lights have 6 or 7 pin sockets?
I guess if they fit on your car with no mods then it must be 6 pins huh? Or the other way around?

they use your stock bulb holder, so you don't need to change anything other than take the brake light bulb off and put the dummy plug on for the LEDs. This tail light works for ALL W203 01-07.

While they certainly look better, after a while the S-class tail lights look too Ebayish (fake?). That's why I've been thinking to replace them with these, which look more factory, but updated.
I've ditched my CL-grille as well and put on the OEM 3-slat. But that's just me.

They are nice... but it would've been nice if the whole light assembly had LED bulbs including the reverse lights.

i like them too, but the horror of the eagle eye LED's turned me away from them. depo however seems to be much better made, and it's not like i hate the C tails, i really like em, haha.

I've had the eagle eyes LED's for 1.5 years now, not a single problem! all LEDs work fine! idk why there's this myth that LEDs are evil and will curse your tail lights!

I heard they cause the Partial load vent hose, door lock actuator, power seat motor, and passenger side HID ballast to fail...

yea, i've been tryin to research on what types of projectors would be useable, and since the hidplanet forum members says OEM BiX are e55, then we could possibly use rs6 projectors easily. but i want the TL ones, and am still trying to find a shroud that would fit it.

at aolsen's response... great myth

for eagle eye LEDs tho. when they first start selling them they had a lot of people experiencing dead LEDs after few times use. maybe their QC went up since then, but it was the reason a lot of us including me went with the regular bulb version of the s-class tail light.

Buying the right HID (xenon) kit for C230 Sport Sedan?

I have just bought new Black housing DEPO projector lights. They look amazing and soooooo clean. Good quality.

But I want to buy a good quality HID kit for the headlights that will work with my mercedes computer without any problems. I have been informed that if you buy the wrong kit or install them improper you get :

- Low beam warning light message
- Flickering problems
- Warning lights and problems with the high beam

Now I have been on ebay and see these "GENUINE MTEC XENON HID KIT MERCEDES W203 C230 C240 C320"

and it stats that you will have no warnings messages and that the kit is made in Japan and made for BMW and Mercedes cars. And that it is the only plug and play kit for Mercedes and Bimmers with no problems. I have just bought s class style LED taillights with the wrong connectors and just dont want to have any more problems with lighting.

If anybody has any good advice, tips or actual products they have used please send a message. I want to get the right kit and have no problems. I will also get them installed professional.

In addition if you have any advise or info on these HID kits (copy and paste)

Not trying to sound like a turd- but do a search. I personally, have never looked into the swap. However- I know it's been discussed time and time again in this section of the forum. I would be willing to bet that you could find your answers by a quick search.

all non oem ballasts are usually made in china, so i would just go with the cheapest one. I have 50watt chinese ballasts and they seem fine. i would recommending getting a harness and not using the stock wiring.

Yes majority, but where the components come from is a whole different story. You can purchase a higher end China made kit that takes components from Germany & Japan versus a low end kit you can find on Ebay for like $60.00 that takes components from Korea and China itself.

I remember someone on this forum had an Ebay kit and the ballast caught on fire

i got a cheap 50watt ballast and 50watt hid bulbs for $150 shipped from china.

if its not oem, its mostly crap. But there cheap so i can't really complain and oem doesn't make 50watt ballasts.

if you dont need 50watt ballasts, i would suggest getting used oem ballasts.

If the ballasts are from japan and it doesn't say matsu****a or denso on it, i would have doubts on the quality.
