the 05+ clear headlights gives very nice looking output with HIDs in them. I love mine at least. with the right adjustment, no blinding and seeing the roads fine. it's also OEM quality over those aftermarket headlights u know.

Outer, I'd be happy with keeping the frosted lenses using your setup...those lights look sweet...what bulbs are those? I need to try and dig up some money, but I also want to wait and see how these cheaper HID kits work for some of you guys...buying clear lenses, to me, is a sunk cost....maybe when I become rich someday although of course, I know they do look better

a clear lens headlamp would make me feel a lot better about my car, some people like how it looks, but to me..it just makes it seem dated

kevblah,

If there WERE aftermarket projectors for coupes, i'd get it. but there are only OEM bi-x which are $800 cheapest if you can ever find a set used.

It tool me about 2 hours to install. It was my first HID install though. The thing that took the longest was finding the right drill bits to use to drill a hole through the headlamp housing to run the wires through.

I am currently looking for my camera. I left it in my car in its case, and I went to go get it from my car the other day and the case was empty

With the Depo's I think it looks really good. I put shadows in front of X5's(with the xenon package) now.

Also, The color blue/purple that the projector creates is much more intense than other cars on the road.

Sucks if your cam was stolen. Did you take out the lights to do the install or could you work with it while it was still on the car. I really don't feel like taking my bumper off again. Any error messages of any kind thus far?

guys becareful, some of the lower end HID tends to drain tons of electricity from the car battery, i've seen someone used a cheap HID and F up his battery. IMO HID isn't expensive these days, a 200 ones have pretty decent quality, wouldn't suggest to go the risky route. just my 2 cents however, this might be good unit, who knows

I left them in the car. I just took out the black round cover and drilled the hole through that.

PS- So far, so good. I think there are too many skeptics. I took a gamble when I bought the HIDs and it paid off.

Hids came in last night, Installed in my bike, LOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK INSANE !!!!!! I would have taken pics, but i dropped and broke my damn cam

I personally would not risk this kit with my benz, but on my bike, i didnt think it would hurt. Kit is REALLY basic, so if you do order it, dont expect much glitter. But works fine thus far.

I received my relay kit from these guys.
If you decide to buy these inexpensive lights, you should inquire about a relay kit. It'll cost a couple extra bucks, but save you a bunch later.

I'll let you know how the install goes. Not sure if I'll need resistors for the lights now. My local shop guy wouldn't set to Xenon present, with all the errors i had last time. Didn't want to be in the middle of the mess I'd created, or rather the lights had created.
Now perhaps that everything is cleared, and stayed that way, perhaps he'll do it for me, if indeed I need resistors.
Shedding 35 watts is better than 55.

I didn't buy HIDs to show off the ballasts to people (when I open the hood).

The only reason that I can think of to why people keep on buying the expensive carlab or mtec xenons is because of a mob mentality (that is pretty strong on this forum). Call me crazy, but if I can put xenons in my car for $109 that work perfectly, why would you ever spend $300+?
