I just wanted to check it out, some may have easy decision but the only reason I'd get the S55 just because of the power and quality but in reality I just need transportation so W204 will suit me. Honestly its up in the air right now, so we'll see.

Oh well, we all want what we can't have.
I suggest neither W204 nor the S55 AMG. You should honestly take a look at the BMW 328i coupe. It's fantastic.
I'll give my final verdict after I see and drive the W204 in person. Until then, the BMW 328i is my favorite by far. It's very versatile and utilitarian; large trunk, seats 4 comfortably, a true GT car. It looks good in the front although isn't as nice on the back. Handling is just out of this world. Brake actuation and pedal feel could be better, but it's something one can get used to.
If the BMW 128i handles well and is safe, I might potentially downgrade to a smaller car.

hi all, newbie here.
would like to know what would be the things missed out between a 06/07 W203 without COMMAND, vs a W204 with COMMAND?
i am currently thinking of getting a used W203 that still has agent warranty (in my country, Singapore, 3yr warranty) as it seems more value for money compared to used W204 (which would cost abt US$10k more, due to inflated car price/tax structure)
only looking at W203 C200 model (~equivalent of US C230, with 1.8L ~163bhp) vs W204 C180 model (~160bhp as well).
thanks in advance!

In Singapore I would get a good, low mileage, W203. Your pricing/tax etc. structure to control the number of vehicles on the road makes the W204 a really bad deal. In other countries I might think otherwise. - Good luck
ps Command is nice but you don't need it on the Island.

ya not a fan of the straight forward w204...only like the c63 but i'd still go with a c55 over a c63 at this point...way cheaper!!!!

I did the math, used car vs. new.
Maint. costs + depreciation vs. No maint. costs + depreciation
At the time BMW didn't offer it, and their cars cost more.
A no brainer.

W203 vs W204
I drove a loaner 2008 C300 while my 2005 C230 was in the shop. I definitely like my C230 stying better, both interior and exterior. I also think my stock radio is better than what is included in the C300. I didn't push the C300 real hard, but it didnt' seem to have great acceleration. My C230 lease ends next month and I am buying it with a 3 year warranty and am not at all tempted by the new C300. If I didn't buy my C230, I would be looking at a used 2005 BMW 330 or Infiniti G35. I do wish my C230 was a manual transmission, but my primary car is now a Honda S2000 convertible and my wife drives the C230.
