anyone have a lot of miles and have this noise???

I just hit 152,000 miles and when you turn the wheel left or right when leaving the driveway , you hear a metal sound like the balljoints are going or something is loose--it goes click, click, click---(not a rotational noise at all either) it is only when a weight is transfed when it happens, oh well gotta see if things need tightening up ---I know it is not the wheels, they are tight and stock ones are back on the car??????

anyone else have these issues??? could point somthing out that I missed???

Have you checked out all your sway links and bushings (front and rear)? Of all my installs on 4-5 various-mileage cars, I've seen popped rubber links, detached sway bar brackets, extremely loose bolts, and non-lubed bushings. These are all regular time maintenance items - you'll have to remember the last time any of these were changed. I think I know what you're talking about. Most fixes are between $80-$100 bucks and some suds under the car.

I'll have to go underneath with the pressure washer to clean off the undercarriage to get to see the bolts!!----I ordered the car new so they were 150,000 hard miles, and put on the c32 sways around 20,000 miles ---guess there might be some bolts that may have loosened themselves but i do regular checks for this kind of thing when I do the brakes, oil changes, etc
will look hard next week when I do the oil change---thanks

If anyone else has this problem though let me know what the culprit was---time to het out the toolkit and go over everything

Thrust arm bushings are common failure items...

thanks, I need to look for those parts in the garage--I have an extra set from the wrecked coupe I have in the garage but one side is bent--but the car only had 8000 miles on her---I could always press the old one out on the bent side and just swap out the other----

thanks for the info, i never checked them for leakage, and now with 150k on the odometer with all heavily driven miles i guess they were due a while ago!

Hopfully they are not the problem and it could be some loose bolts but i'll be checking on it this weekend if possible

I have 91k miles and i also get a sound. I'm not sure if it's the same sound as yours, mind is more like a creaking sound.

no this is more like a clack---pause of 1-2 seconds-- clack ---again--clack when turning out of the driveway--on weight shift only though because if you sit in the driveway and turn the wheel each way you don't hear it

Last night I just found my H&R sway bar bushing where causing my noise. I have changed out the thrust arm bushings, they can be a little tricky to press out. They are fluid filled and you have to have something to rest on the small edge of the outer metal ring to press them in. I just used a large socket I had to get them out. Then I used the outer metal of my old bushing as a spacer to press the new one in. Otherwise you would have to buy the Mercedes tool $$$... I'm at 92,000 miles now. I'm going to try using the AMG bushings on my H&R with a little modding. And change my end links to the 12mm AMG end links.
