I usually reset my trip meter so i'm somewhere between 325-350 city to all highway i get like 400-420 I think per tank .... Mine is a 6 spd 3.5L (C350) and only has 1500 miles. I hope it will get a little better when the motor is worn in (if there is such a thing).

You ready for a Houston run? I am thinking of getting PARKTRONIC ... Man it is expensive though

I put an ECLIPSE AVN-5500 in my last truck, which I only loved more because it was touchscreen. I personally really like the Mercedes COMAND. The Eclipse only gave driving guidance through the driver door speaker, the COMAND does through the entire audio system, no big deal I guess...

Either way I need to talk with Steve some more about the I Pod integration and bluetooth... Everything else I am definitely in for except I am still unsure if I want to shell out the $ for Parktronic.

Ok so I just filled up the tank and we'll see how many miles I get from a full tank. My light had just clicked on with about 30 miles to spare. Here are the stats upon filling up:

Price paid: $39.02 @ $2.79/gal 93 octane
Gallons Taken: 13.94 gallons
Before moving the car it said I should get 405 miles..it started to go down quickly as I started to pull out of the station but we'll see how it compares with 405 mi. later this week, or whenever I need to fill up again...

I easily get 400+ miles out of a tank. I dog it a lot, but I have a M271 not the six.

I should come very close to the 405, however I will be mainly doing city mileage for this week...the only highway driving i should be doing is a 20 minute ride into Boston and back maybe a few times before the end of the upcoming weekend...so you could say even that is all city....but it seems I go a while without filling up...this is the first time I'll have kept track so we'll see, and yes, sometimes I cruise sometimes I whip...but as you may have seen...my whipping has left me with a ticket sat night

I keep very detailed gas transactions. Just look at the link in my sig for the Ethanol thread. I post my mileage figures and charts in Excel. I always use the calculated mileage figures and not what the computer says (Though, I have found the computer has pretty decent OVERALL accuracy. But, I have had times it was off by as much as 2 MPG, but the overall accuracy is -0.18. It is more accurate with Premium vs. Ethanol.)

To date:
2007 C230 2.5L V6 M272 engine. 13157 total miles.

Most driving is 75% freeway and 25% city. In my daily commute I climb over 1000ft in elevation. Overall average speed 41 MPH.

Lifetime average premium unleaded: 24.89 MPG
Lifetime average E85 (Ethanol): 19.13 MPG

Best (Premium): 28.41 MPG (Average speed 66 MPH)
Worst (Premium) 17.39 MPG (Average speed 21 MPH)

I noticed my mileage is slowly improving as the engine breaks in. Not sure if it will improve anymore than current.

Note: EPA ratings for this car are 19 city/ 25 highway. Which I get the highway figures in overall driving, so I am happy. Just wish I got the mileage figures of the M271.

Wow...you guys are really getting some very good mileage.
I drive an 06 C280 4Matic and every tank I only get about 200 to 220 miles.
On high way I get about 300 per tank though.

I've gotten the distance to empty screen to read over 700 miles before. Of course, that's probably an overestimate.

I'm referencing a 2005 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan driving on a relatively flat highway with the cruise control on at 60 mph.

I filled up on the 24th, I haven't needed to get gas yet, but unfortunately my results are going to be innacurate/skewed because I did a lot of idling while at school using the AC, lol I still post my results when I'm empty, but I'll have to do it again...

I usually hit right around 320 when the gas light comes on. I got the same kind of milage when i had a 4 banger. So i guess mines is okay.
