i know this may sound silly, but on my w202, i got alot of extra mileage per tank, (maybe 70 miles) just by leaving my tires pumped up nice and hard.
i just got this new w203, but i will check the pressure soon.

but, my w203 C230K gets waaaaaaaay better fuel economy and has the same if not more power than my old w202 C280 Sport.

I have a 2004 C240, and I get between 280 and 340 miles depending on the driving that I'm doing. I'm up in Fremont, CA (about 25 miles north of San Jose for those not familiar with the area), and have to take I-880 north to the Dumbarton bridge, so I don't get great gas mileage there.
The best that I've gotten was driving on I-80 from Reno with cruise control at 70-75mph. Doing that, I can get about 32mpg.
Then again, most of the time, I'm not that adventurous, I typically refill at 1/4 tank. When travelling to places I've never been before, at 1/2 tank.

I actually laid off of the accelerator for the first time last week and was doing a "normal" pace. I got ~420mpg!!!! and that was with some traffic too! I have no doubts that if there wasn't that much traffic, I would have gotten 450. Love it!

I usually just get gas once a week, so I don't pay much attention to miles per tank. I do know, however, that over the last 25000 miles my wife and I have averaged 31.1 mpg in a mix of city, suburban, and highway driving. Our last C230 averaged around 28, so I can't explain why this C230 is so good on fuel, but I'm pretty pleased about it.

I usaully get 31-32 mpg mixed driving and 35 mpg yesterday going to Fort Worth and back. Not quite as good as my old TDI Jetta but sure is a hell of alot nicer riding!!!
As long as I stay easy on the gas pedal 400-450 miles per tank is easy, 340-380 getting on it.

I get close to 300 mpg.....combo of city and highway driving and occasional use of cruise control. When I don't need to have the a/c running (since it runs as default) I also disable that.

Is there no edit post feature at this forum? Or am I just blind? (Maybe both! )
Anyway, I'm going to revise my numbers a bit. On Monday night, I actually got the car low enough to hit the reserve fuel (last 1/8th of the tank). When I got to a gas station, I was one gallon short of empty (16 gallon tank), and had 356.5 miles.
Most of that was freeway (mostly Interstate) driving with the odd lineup at the toll plaza.
