perhaps you use the air conditioner more frequently than I do. I only use it about 20 or 30% of the time.

I have an 01 c320... it just depends on your driving style.. if you really accelerate like there's no tomorrow, it will consume more gas.. I have an auto since they didnt offer a manual then. i normally get a mix of city/highway 22-23.. on long trips to SoCal I've gotten as high as 28-29... that's going about 80-90 behind others to slipstream/draft to save on gas..

I never use my AC...probably because I have 20% on my front windows too so they are always down to get away from a fix it ticket- so no need for AC

I average 23-25 mpg daily on my C320 Coupe. I added K&N air filters and I keep the tire pressure at 36 psi. I was so happy one day, that I took a pic when I got 27.5 mpg. I think the K&N filters gives me at least 2 mpg more than stock. Also, your mpg also depends on how hard you rev the engine. When I drive aggressively, I still get around 23 mpg.

i got the tires at 28 / 32 psi like what the mb suggests

when I ordered the C320, I knew it would not get as good gas mileage like the C230. I also knew it would not be much quicker too, but i thought it would be quieter since it's a V6.

I don't think it is quieter because it got the same sport exhaust like the one on the C230. The C320 luxury sedan must be quieter. But that's okay, I've learned to enjoy hearing the sound of the engine

thanks for the invitation, phattbam, but Saturday is my day for tennis and my partner wouldn't understand. One time I showed up to the court five minutes late and he told me, "in the old days, the party would have you shot" (he's a big russian dude)

We had an '03 e320 wagon a while back and I think it was way faster than my 230k SS?....All I remember is how quick that damn wagon picked up, and I mean sure the 230k picks up good for stock but I thought the 320's were a good deal faster?

I don't really get much above 19 in my daily drive which is completely stop and go, I live in Washington DC aka the worst city for traffic.

I only average 18.9 mpg in my C320 Coupe and that is after 12000 miles. AC isn't even on most of the time -- keep my pano roof open to "brighten" the interior (front windows tinted).

I seem to average about 17 to 19, combined city and freeway. I live about 25 miles from work, and i do the "rush hour" commute, which is usually stop and go for an hour.

Trips to LA, i average about 23 to 24. Not all that impressed with the gas milage, considering the ML was about the exact same for me.

i believe the numbers from mbusa are 6.9 secs vs 7.6 secs (0 - 60 mph, manual transmissions, C320, C230 respectively)

0.7 sec is not much in my book. I am sure someone who can shift better will be able to out accelerate me in his/her C230

are you guys talking about the C320 V6, those mpg numbers seem really low to me. Unless you're in heavy traffic all the time.

My C320 Sport Coupe averages 25 mpg every trip to/from work. 1/2 highway 1/2 street. I cruise at about 70-75 for about 20 minutes each way.
I've gotten 29-30 mpg on full freeway driving 2 hours +. I kill my own overall mpg however, due to my spirited driving runs. Life of the car, it's at 21.8 mpg. Can't help it with a reprogrammed RENNtech ECU.

My wifes C320 Sport Sedan actually performs better (gas mileage wise). 27 mpg avg daily commute, and up to 31-34 on the freeway distance driving.

Overall 25.5 mpg. Going to Phoenix and back from So. Cal. I average 30 and I always travel at least 9 mph above the speed limit (limit is 75 in AZ, 65 in CA).

I have an '04 C320 sedan. When I 1st got it, I think I averaged 26-28 mpg (drive mainly highway 22 miles/day each way). I got a free oil change at my 1000 mile service and soon after that had 28-30mpg. I have since not had an oil change (at around 10,000 miles now) and noticed my mpg has dropped to around 25-26 mpg. I'm curious if I will get another spike in mileage after my next oil change (scheduled at 13,000 miles). During the winter when I had snow tires on it also dropped considerably 22-23mpg, which I guess is what is to be expected.

On the same note, I can't believe that the C350 will give more horsepower, more torque and still give better mileage, just doesn't seem fair

No, I'm happy with the purchase since my car has had no defects since I picked it up. It's nice as a daily driver. I'll get a quicker car later on

Unfortunately, on most weekends, my car would be in the garage at home and I would be with friends at some other place.

This is what c320wz sounds like with the windows up. 1st, 2nd, 3rd are kind of noisy for a V6. Fourth, fifth, and sixth are fine. I shifted gears at 2,500 - 2,800 RPM in this audio clip.
