Hit and run accident - Rear bumper estimated cost C230 2006
There is also a keyed scratch on the left side of the passenger door, and wondering how much it would be to fix that too.
I refuse to take it to the original dealership because they charge ridiculous price.
Any advice/suggestions, and estimated cost for the defects mentioned above?
Thanks again

if parts & labor costs 1 million dollars, I only pay $500.

I got tired of looking at the mess finally and ordered a bumper from
Duval for about 350 including shipping.
I had it painted for about 300 and installed it myself.
$650 total. R&R was a bit of a pain, but not difficult, just removing bolts and screws. Not brain surgery.
So, take the insurance money, and do the same, and get your door painted at the same time and pocket at least a grand for your head.
If you decide to go this route, instructions for R&R bumper are in the service DVD but even then not so easy to find. But they are there.

Anyway, I've just spent about 1/2 hour finding PN's and prices on your bumper.
Seems the price of 700 is about right.
See attachments for pn's. Not sure which one is yours, as in Stnd. Sport, or AMG style.
You can look up parts prices here
You could DIY for about a grand.
EDIT: PDF is complete parts list with side and rear strips which looks like you might need.
I used the VIN of a 2006 C230 on ebay.
You can look this up yourself with a one month subscription for 3 bucks here

About $1,200, ins. paid.
My deductible is $1000, but the lower amount the better.
And I wouldn't want it to affect my insurance policy somehow either.
I know that some body here in LA has got to have a good deal.
Thank you
