after having only been able to enjoy my 2001 S203 C270CDI for about 20 months before my wife got caught in an accident last summer (luckily without any injuries other then some bruces from the seatbelt...the other driver involved in the accident came out with minor injuries) and after having planned to repair the car for the last 7-8 months I finally got time to remove the front and engine with trans of the car and decided NOT to repair the car...so EVERYTHING out of my car is up for sale.

for those who do not know the car:
my C270CDI in original state
my C270CDI taken apart
my C270CDI modified

my C270CDI and the listed options
67 more pictures of my C270CDI

Besides these options that were to be found on the car I also have:
- a new parameter steering rack
- a new C55 hood and fenders (as that is what I wanted to repair it with)
- a used C55 "crashbox" (all parts in between of the chassis and bumper)
- a new W203/S203 diesel AMG muffler with C30CDI like endtips

I already sold the brakes - the rest is pretty much still "up for grabs".

Is the rear bumper and side skirts still good? Do they fit my C280 4Matic? How much are they? Thanks.

Ouch.

Glad no one is seriously hurt. It's always better that the car gets damaged rather than the occupants.

Quote: Is the rear bumper and side skirts still good? Do they fit my C280 4Matic?
as can be seen on the pictures, both the rear bumper and the leftside skirt are damaged.
Quote: are the wheels undamaged?
three of the rims and tires have only been used for 2 weeks (I never ever washed those rims yet) - the fourth one got damaged due to towing and the fact that that wheel does not turn around at all (which makes towing pretty difficult - especially since the car was low). One new rim to replace that damaged one is costing me almost 600USD (excl. the tire) which is the reason why I haven't replaced it to complete the set.
Quote: Steve, how much do you want for the folding mirrors?
This set is power folding, has memory motors AND does have TWO auto dimming - eurospec anti bind spot glasses...you know where to mail to when interested.
Quote: Glad no one is seriously hurt. It's always better that the car gets damaged rather than the occupants.
exactly my thought...especially after I SAW this accident happen from the rearview mirror of my C250D (as I was driving in front of my wife)
Quote: so what s the next project
As a temporary solution I am using my fathers 2002 E220CDI (one of the first 7000 W211 E-classes) which I never liked before but extremely like nowadays after it has been modified a bit.

the E220CDI and the listed options
some pictures of that E220CDI

Retrofitting 209 CLK clusters in 203s is something we (read: Steve) can do, BUT... only with NEW clusters and ONLY to be offered including installation! These CLK clusters need minor modification in order to fit the 203 dash, and programming with stardiagnose.

In the older 203s there may be a small issue with the gas gauge, which won't work properly when the fuel tank is full.

AND as there is some hackage programming involved for which I need a third-party I am not willing to do any 209 IC installs anywhere but at home...even if one CAN settle with a mileage reading of 999999
