is your motivation looks or performance?
if looks... then depends on what you want to do... (but it all will depreciate in value)
if performance... get w204! or second hand c55

i think the w203 is the clear winner in looks- i can't stand the way the w204 looks. however, there's no denying the fact that new C is better in terms of performance.

I don't know what you have in mind for a budget, for both the initial purchase and future mods, but if I were you I wouldn't do anything until the C63 was on the street. Even if it turns out to be twice your budget, it could still influence your decision.
Either way you really can't go wrong. I love them both.

Just depends how you want to spend yer bread...
W204 looks better in person, but well equipped is about 40 grand out the door
tax included.
One guy around here got an S4 and put a turbo upgrade kit + clutch for about 5 grand, and is putting 300-340 hp to the ground .
If you want power, there is nothing for the new 6's.

Get the W204, I hated it at first but it grew on me and now I love it.
No offense to other W203 owners, we're old news :/. Have you guys seen the W204 Brabus Style C class, it makes W203 Brabus look

Yeah you are sadly right. Personally I would mod the w203 a lil longer until the prices on the w204 comes down. Rd i guess it depends on if you want to mod more or if you would rather have a new car.

the market for MB parts for the C class, ESPECIALLY the w204, is really low. Plus the new C has horrible gas mileage compared to the I4 w203. They [w204] look too... fatherly or something. They look okay in certain colors, but basically all you can do is wheels, tires, tint, MAYBE a grille, custom exhaust, and lowering [parts available?!].
Stick with the 05. its an all around better bang.

Aftermarket companies aren't going to have the incentive to come up with new things for the W203. The W204 already has Carlsson, Brabus, and Lorinser body kits (Including side skirts and exhaust).
Give it a year and they'll have the same amount of performance parts for the W203 for the W204.
As for performance W203 VS W204, both are going to cost alot of money for minimal gains.
