Good question!
I've had the car since Aug/Sep of 2004 and started modding it the day I got it. Changing little things here and there. The major modifications came about a year ago, and happened almost overnight. (bodykit, wheels, suspension)
The fogs are made by hella and come with the rieger front bumper. They use a regular H7 bulb, but I installed an HID kit.

Why did you have to mention bigger rims??? I had that in my head all day long, and finally decided I am broke and my current rims are good enough. Now you have to come along and change that.
Whats another $2,500 on the CC anyway?

Thanks guys.
You should be able to do it on the E55. Might be best to ask shake if he can do a Pshop first, since the shrouds on the W211 bix are different.
SOB, never mind, some dude beat you to it. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/249073-black-out-sneak-peak-pics.html

SOB, turned on my car today and heard an awful clicking noise from behind the dash.
Looks like I need to replace my stepper motor. Fack!!

Damn Nick I just ran across this thread finally...lol...
Everything is looking good and the fact that you did most of the mods yourself is just plain .
Definitely impeccable and I wish I had the skills and equipment to do it as well.
Good job and can't wait to see the car with some new wheels (assuming the sale with you getting new wheels..lol)

I really really want a set of 19's but I am so broke its not even funny. Wheel are going to have to wait since the next mod will be suspension. My stock shocks are **** and the ride is bouncy as hell.
I get the vinyl form metrosellers. Shipping is pretty quick, and packed pretty well.

I actually just got the samples from them as well. I was thinking of doing the CF III in silver on my charcoal interior.
How easy was it to work with the vinyl if you dont mind me asking. I was just about to order the stuff and came across your thread so hopefully you can help a brotha out.
Wheels are a pain in the ***, definitely a very expensive mod to ppl like us. I just bought Cappa's Monoblock S's today after being broke as a joke (trying to save for rims and Hawaii is a starving session for reals). Sucks to hear about the suspension, hopefully you can get that taken care of soon.
Thanks for your help on the vinyl in advance.

Jon,
I haven't tried their CF III. I ordered some of their CF II (which looked like crap) and their 3D CF (which is what I have now) I think the 3D CF looks the most realistic. Its a bit silver for my taste, even though it was the black CF.
Unless the area is 100% flat, applying the vinyl is a royal pain in the ***. You can NOT make it flex. The top of dash near the air vents is two pieces of vinyl because it would have wrinkles if it was one piece. Its hard to notice the seams on the dash The door pieces are the hardest to wrap, and you will have seams and a few sharp corners sticking out.
I am probably going to order some of their flexible CF and see how that looks. If they come up with a flexible 3D CF then I am all over it.
Hope that cleared a few things up.
Congrats on the wheels, make sure you post some pics when mounted.

I think that ash pertains to the seats and door panels. Not sure what the dash color is. Definitely not ash, and definietly not charcoal.
