New Times in 1/4 mile

For those who are interest in performance times I got some good news! I install the pulley myself on Wednesday and on Friday I went finally to the track! before my pulley my best time was 15.86 and yesterday night I improved a lot almost a second less I did 14.96 in the first run and then in my second 15.1 , but in the second one I think my car was too cold because an accident happened and they closed for 2 hours! I am very happy with that I never think about I can be in the higher 14 seconds! I know maybe I can improved those times a little more if try again after the computer recognized all the boost, but that will be next year after I come back from my vacations so I think my c230 k is one of the fastest with an auto trasmision!

WOW a 14.96 is great!!! When i get my pully i will take out the spare and my system and go to moroso and i better get a 14.96 or better Our cars are almost identical except for My exhaust and my car is lowered. Hopefully the exhaust can do something good. Now i cant wait for my pully to come.

Are there any tricks on how to launch? How did u do it? ESP on or off? did u brake toqure it or just floor it? And when did u start at the last yellow light?

Congrats on the times, i am very impressed.

by the way, how much gas did u have?

And you were such a naysayer. Youve let SoCal beat you down too many times. A 6 speed C230 could probably drop that into the mid 14's or better.

You'll need an impact gun or a breaker bar and a way to lock the motor. Given the location, a small, right angle impulse tool is your best bet. An impulse gun might loosen the pulley bolt without turning over the motor, but trying to get the correct running torque with an auto trans is going to be much harder.

i am sorry i didn't anwser any question !

How difficult was the pulley install for the auto?
This was my fisrt mechanic job in any car! and for me was kind of difficult to get the pullley off! but after sometime trying differents things i did it! The easiest way is to lock the old pulley with two screw drivers and then use a long handle rachet bar! after you do that everything is too easy! good luck and if you have other question ask me i will help you!

I did it with the esp off! and i braked and push gas a the same time and started in the last yellow light! my reaction time was .777 and then 6.40! you can try any way you want because you can do like 5 to 6 runs in a night!

I will have a 90 degree air gun, so I dont think I will have any problems getting the pulley off. How was it getting the new pulley back on? I know with the auto, you have to keep the crank from spinning, and was just wondfering if you have had any problems with that.

Tim

Also, isnt ASP supposed to start stocking the pulley and lower the price. I think i heard something like that but I cant remember.
