Car wash in LA/Long Beach?

Alright guys and gals, I'm lookin for a place to get my car washed since my apartment complex doesn't anyplace to wash . I would prefer Long Beach since I work in N. LB and live in downtown LB.

This will be the first time I haven't washed my car since I bought it over two years ago

I'd detail your car for a cheap price, but I live in the Alhambra/San Marino area. Is that too far?

I live in a condo building in downtown KC, and therefore I don't have a place to do a hand wash either. I just drive out to one of the closest coin-op, self-service washes in the burbs, spray it down with pre-soak and soap, then use my sheepskin mitt to hand scrub it. Then I high pressure soap it again, and rinse it down.

I've never had any problems doing this, unless it's really busy. But even then I just make sure I'm not holding up a stall for someone else, and I move it over to an unused corner of pavement to dry it off and wax it, etc.

Definitely not as convenient as doing it in your own driveway, but better and cheaper than always just taking it to a high-end automated wash (or worse yet, a complete detail shop).

Jonathan,
You're a bit farther than I'd like at ~20 miles+ each way from my office. I'll entertain if I can't find something a little closer.

uh? Reread? First time I have NOT washed my car... I usually wash the car every week by hand and would wax every month or so.

Also, my wheels never get that dirty with ceramic pads

Best place and really the only place I take mine to is Carwood on Carson and Paramount. I usually have Able take care of it. You can do different sorts of washes ranging from I think $16.99 and up. But Able is great and really is concerned if he does a great job. Good luck.

Yes I would also highly recommend Carwood too. Very well run carwash. They will take any and all requests....

Cool, I'll probably check it out tomorrow or saturday... My car ate a lot of bugs on my trip. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Maybe I'll have Jonathan rewax it when the wax runs thin
