Canada and Daytime Running Lights (DRL)...
is there any way i can disable the daytime running lights without taking it to the dealership, i know for a fact there gona refuse to disable them.. their pretty strict about it here in canada but i wana get rid of it, espically now that its summer i feel like im just wasting my hid bulb's life away when they dont need to be turned on in such bright sunny weather. anyone know how to do it??

Please leave them,on, they are a safety feature. If you've ever driven a 2-lane highway at sunrise/sunset facing into the sun, you'll know the advantage of seeing the DRLs.
OK now that the compulsory safety rant is over: I asked previously, the DRLs are activated in the computer, there seems to be no way to turn them off without a visit to the dealership - good luck finding a dealership that will turn them off.

can you drive south of the border and have a US dealer disable the feature with DAS ??? I guess you would have to know which dealer knows how to do it first, before traveling down.

In Canada, NO cars have a DRL toggle menu; it's required by law here.
Not sure why MB decided to use the xenon bulb instead of the city light for DRL; that would've made a lot more sense. But with that said, OP, good luck trying to get a US dealer to disable. All they need to do is punch in your VIN while taking your car in and immediately you're SOL.
With that said, I'm a fan of having some kind of DRL. It does make driving during those foggy/superbright days somewhat safer imho.

I really want to have an option when it comes to choosing whether I want my Headlights to go ON or OFF. Besides disabling it, is there such a thing as a Euro Switch? Well, not so much about Euro, but since I think Canada is the only country that requires DRL, I guess the cars in Europe will have this switch.

on your light switch, if you turn to left, theres fog light. canadian car cannot use it.
however, i want to turn off the biX and use that switch to turn on the fog light. then that can be DRL and saves money for HID light bulb.
i asked to my dealer and they say no also if i turn off the DRL then car will not start. i dont understand that US they can turn to left to use fog light but CAN car cannot. even i put it in the middle its like auto light when night comes the interior light comes on.
then why would MB made that switch for Canadian car?
they should do something for that.
(sorry my English skill is not really good but important thing is that i want to turn off the DRL and use switch left and right.)

If its that important, buy a different car.
No dealer is going to do it for you, so the only last resort is Steve if he ever makes a trip to Vancouver since he has a machine capable of programming the car. AFAIK Steve has never come to Canada, alternatively you could drive to San Fran/LA and meet up with him, he makes several trips there.

Organize the Vancouver peeps or make a rally drive to San Francisco next time he's in town. Always e-mail him ahead of time and send payment ahead of time, so that you're guaranteed parts and install appointments. www.MBenzNL.com

start up a list of MB owners in Vancouver that want some MBenzNL goodies; put in your orders and payments, and have at it...
your DRL could be gone in no time !

The dealer probably can't turn them off for you. I'm not sure about this, but I do know that a lot of settings on your car can only be adjusted by a hacked StarDiagnose computer. Regular dealerships do not have a hacked StarDiagnose. Steve and Sunil have access to these and can change way more settings than the dealer can.
Also, in my experience, its hard to find someone who actually knows anything about StarDiagnose. Most mechanics fumble around in that thing like my grandma on facebook.
