The latest word I got from Velocity is that they will do custom finishes (gunmetal, black, etc.), but in that case every set must be identical and the price per set will likely be higher. I think we'd be better off having those who want custom finishes have them do it after the fact at the shop of their choice.

Check out the group buy I'm setting up. Same look, but much cleaner without those fake rivets. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=191082

I did check your group buy thread and posted that I was interested in 18", but you responded that they all had to be 19's. If that changes, let me know.

Final Say On Proper Offset!

So I'm planning on getting new wheels, for you offset guru's out there, will these clear my 2005 SS brakes?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...8743418&rd=1,1

Fronts & Rears= 18X8.5 with the 35mm offset. I ask because some threads say 35mm is good, some say no, you need 32mm, others say it depends on wheels. Can anyone give me a definitive answer with the above wheels I posted a link too? Thanks.

He was thinking, less weight more speed!...LOL. His BBS's are 20 lbs. each! That's a good amount of weight loss for wheels.

some 35mm will clear the brakes, but some may not.
it depends on the wheel style.
if it doesn't, get a 3mm spacer and you will be fine.

Well, if the DCR's weighed around what my rims weigh (which is considered light for 19's), I'd say it was a significant amount of weight dropped at the wheels.

Frank's BBS's are 20lbs each. My fronts are ~25lbs and rears are ~26.5 lbs. That's a 23 lb. difference total. That's a lot of weight he dropped, for wheels only.

Thanks for the quick answer. One more question for you. I don't want to order those rims on the "hope" they will clear. I found some Tsw Bremmas on ebay for a good price, one set is 18X8 with a 32mm offset, the other is also 18X8 but has a 30mm offset, the latter one being $100 or so cheaper. First will both sets fit? Second, is one more ideal than the other? OK, I lied that was two questions, thanks.

Wait, I just noticed that you're in L.A.! Have you ever gone to a wheel shop to ask? There are tons of them in L.A. and Orange County that you could ask to be 100% positive. TSW is a common brand that a lot of wheel shops carry.

the 32mm will fit, but if you plan on doing coilovers, get the 30mm for clearance.

Actually, I went to two, obviously the wrong ones though. They were all bumbling idiots, didnt' even know the 05+'s had larger brakes and said 35mm offset would "for sure" fit, I didn't trust them. Thanks for the help though, I'm hoping to sell my stock 17's soon and get these 18inch Bremmas. Have only had my ride for about 2 weeks, already got clear bumper lenses, window tints (w/ moleskins) and now wheels. Still undecided on changing the grill...sheesh I'm going broke!

What shops did you go to? Easiest way to have a shop tell you for sure is to say it is for a C32! The C32 offset works perfect for all w203's and accounts for a big brake kit. I can't remember the exact offset for the C32 (it's been a while since I did the research), but I'm pretty sure it has been mentioned before.
