If you can afford an MB you should be able to afford nice wheels. That's how I look at it.

I'm not sure if any of you have heard of them, but after checking out their website they have several celebrity endorsers as well as a pro skate team (which includes a few of my fav skaters haha). I think these wheels are not only much more attractive than the other ones I posted, but definitely look like they're of higher quality.

Here's a link to the wheels http://www.zenetti.com/html/2007/ind...eelID=7&carID=

After looking around a bit more I did realize that these wheels in particular aren't forged, although the company does make forged wheels... just not this series. So what do you all think? If you want to see them on a C-class they even have a little "virtual garage" app that lets you do that without all the photoshop hassle.

Edit: If THIS doesn't scream quality, I don't know what does.
Zenetti's are expensive

Haha, it's funny how snobby MB drivers can be.

Anyways, some of us do actually work for our money, and it isn't like I'm driving like an 07 CLS or anything. I have a 5 year old C class that I'm fixing up and trying to mod as I go. So, my sincerest apologies for not being either born into money or having enough time to make a lot on my own. The way I look at it, your money doesn't define you, but being a jerk can.

I'm glad mom and dad didn't buy me a gold coupe.

For the record, the few mods that I have done have come out of my own pocket.

My comments weren't directed at anyone in particular, but I suppose the truth hurts.

There have only been like 3 or 4 people in this recent discussion on examinas' rims, so I suppose they were directed in a general direction.

But, I don't see why it would hurt because like I said, the few mods that I have done have been done with my money.

I made a general comment that is absolutely true. Many members rides and mods are sponsored by their parents. If your car and/or mods were bought by your parents, I was talking about you. If not, I wasn't. There was nothing negative implied, except that you don't always have a choice about how much you can afford to spend on wheels when you're not the only one making decisions about how much to spend. Now shut the hell up and stop post-stalking me.

Expensive? Coming for the guy telling me to save up $4K for wheels? Haha, I found them for under $300 per rim, which is less than Mandrus wheels would cost me. I mean, I know they aren't the highest quality or best name in wheels, but still, ~$1200 for a set of wheels isn't too bad IMO.

And about them being ugly... that's completely subjective which makes it irrelevant to me.

You asked about Zenetti's, so I was just telling you so you know they're out of your price range

Now that I see the price you found them for, that's probably the 1 piece cast versions. The $300 per rim would make sense.

I didn't add the "ugly" part. That was Blake quoting me and adding the ugly. I think they're okay, actually. Not my style, but that's all on each individual.

Yea, like I said, they do make forged, however not in that style. After searching the forum some, I see many people have had problems with the chrome peeling off, so despite the hot girl showing her ***, maybe they aren't so quality.

And I saw he added the ugly part not you, it didn't strike me as something you'd say. Like I said, it's just his opinion and he can have it, but I still think those wheels would look pretty nice. Well anyways, thanks for the help everyone, I'll take all of your advice into consideration and hopefully will come out of it with some nice looking/quality wheels (even if they don't cost me an arm and a leg).

If you want some "affordable" one-piece forged rims, look into Work or Volk rims. They are Japanese based companies, but make high quality rims. In fact, some of their styles were copied by HRE.

Yes, both Work and Volk have some relatively inexpensive lightweight wheels. Don't forget about OZ!

Oh yeah, OZ! Hey guys, off-topic from what we're talking about, but I've always wondered...are those OZ center caps either not removable or not compatible with factory caps? Cuz I always see the OZ caps and it baffles me as to why anyone wouldnt change them

OZ's are great wheels. Why would anyone in their right mind who can afford to buy such nice wheels NOT want to show it off?

They're changable, but you have to take the wheels off to pop them out.

While we're on the centercap subject, i currently have OEM MB center caps on my Lorinser wheels. Anyone think it a wise decision to switch to Lorinser centercaps?

Well, the 1 piece rims are inexpensive, but very solid. Thing is, they're cast. OZ only makes forged rims for their multi-piece setups, like my rims.

Anybody who would think I didn't pay a lot for my rims knows very little about tuning...LOL.

You do realize that Mercedes Benz contracts OZ to make the rims for their DTM cars. Look at the CLK DTM Road car! It has my rims. Look at the C Class w203 and w204 DTM race car. OZ Superturismos.

I would, but that's just me. Only reason I would put MB center caps on these rims is if the CLK DTM road car center caps fit perfect. Even then, I wouldn't doubt if those things cost more than anyone in their right mind would pay for center caps.

It all depends what you prefer. Assuming your wheels are authentic, I'd definitely put the Lorinser caps on.
