if you need opinions on rims it only means you are having second thoughts on getting them otherwise you would've bought them already if you like them. replicas are not always bad just watch out for those generally made in China crap. very often people that asks these questions on this board never end up getting them.

3) Have you taken a look at the "aftermarket wheel" thread that's stickied at the top of the forum?

Hi,

I've had my 06' c230 sedan for a little over a year now and I want to start modding it, this is one of the first things that I want to do in what will probably be a long process. I'm a big noobie in all of this so please bear with me

I'm using the above to give sort of a format as to what I'm looking for.

1. My budget is ~$1500-$2000
2. I really like the look of a 5 spoke black on chrome lip to match my black c class =] . I would like them to be as smooth or smoother than the stock rims, size I'm thinking 18's or 19's, but again I'd rather take the smoother 18's over rough 19's.
3. Posting in the thread =D
4. Like I said I'm a BIG noob at this and don't know exactly where to go. Any advice with site would be great too =]

Thanks again,
Sasugaa

Already answered your question in the tire thread. 255/45R17 all around won't work. 255/45r17 rear only won't work either.

quick question if this set up will work well for 2004 C230 sport sedan;

F: 19x8.5 +40 ET w/225/35/19 ( i can get it into +35ET w/5mm spacer)
R: 19x9.5 +35 ET w/255/30/19

Would like to get it as flush as possible so any suggestions on offest are greatly appreciated.. i can always go with a bigger spacer.

Looking to help my brother get a set of wheels, he bought it used, looks like fenders have been rolled a bit by looking at them from inside (perhaps a previous owner)

I'd like to combine this with a set of springs, Tein, H&R, Eibach.. not quite sure which would be the best brand to go with. also read up that a lot of people are cutting front half of the coil for a lower drop (i've done it in the past) but not really looking forward to doing it as it will never ride the same comparing to spring out of the box.. Most importantly my question is wheel to spring clearance.. any issues? Many tks in advance!

depending on the wheel, you may need to go ET30 up front to clear the brakes. the rear is fine.

New to the forum and just got a c230 coupe. Sorry didn't want to look through this entire thread. Anyone out there running 17x10's in the back with streched tires?

Some people would probably consider 255's on 18x10's stretched. Alot depends on the brand of tires though. I ran 255/35 Falkens on 18x9.5's and they looked a bit stretched, then switched to BFG's and they were cut MUCH wider and didn't look stretched at all.

Thats true. I've had a terrible experience with falken tires before, they were stretched on a 19 inch wheel on my E-class and I had tire wear like no other, ended up blowing out on the freeway. I'm steering clear from extremely low profile tires.

They won't fit well. 9" wide up front is either begging to rub on your c/o's or the fender. *thumbs down*

You can get those but just replace the barrel with an 8.5" one. Is the offset correct? (Im assuming your getting these second hand, could be mistaken) LM's are SUPER SEXY ! ! ! !

I would but the barrel is probably super pricey...

these are in a 5x114.3, but the offset is high, so i was going to get a adapter that changes the hub to 5x114.3 studs.

I'd highly suggest against getting an adaptor that would convert it from 114.3 (JDM) bolt pattern to a 112. IMO, that just begs for more problems than you want.

Although the Mono VI aren't very rare, they are better looking rims in my opinion. So my vote is for barabus
