Offset? How wide?

I do know a guy who runs staggered 8.5 & 9.5 with 225s and 235s, not sure about the ET of his wheels tho..

He's riding in cut H&R springs and Bilsten shocks, NO RUBBING from what he told me..

Hope the info and the pics help

thanks. i like the setup but it seems its a bit too low on the rear. i'm thinking if it'll rub if you get passengers at the back though. he's selling the wheels/tires for $1600.. new.. i'll negotiate the price. not to sound like i am low-balling him. what's the fair price for this? i'll post pics sunday or monday.

I really think so, but he denied that..It might not rub if you have perfect ET and good rounded tires with the right size, BUT it must bottom out if you hit wavey deep bumps or smth even with no passangers or with..

You should make sure the size and the offset of these wheels before getting them..

Post pics and specs might help..

Bolt pattern would help too. Are you sure these wheels are even made to fit a Mercedes? Giovanna makes ugly wheels to fit lots of vehicle makes/models, so you might want to find out all of the information before buying them. This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

H&R coils, 225 40 18X8.5 and 255 35 18X9.5.

Any suggestions with that plastic
Or I just have to live with it?
I run the same tire sizes and have had no problems with the tires rubbing the plastic front fender cover, though many others have. Then again, I always try to avoid turning the steering wheel to full lock.

usually the lip is about 2.5 inch in back right? whats front?
There is no standard size for lips on staggered wheels. Some staggered wheels have no lip, some have very large lips, etc. If you have big big brakes up front, the biggest lip that will fit is 1.5", and that's only with the right offset.

Yep, 19" and 20" only. They're forged 1pc. wheels, so relatively light but I don't know the exact specs. I remember seeing a guy who put them on his 997 Turbo saying that they were slightly heavier than his OEM forged wheels. As for pricing, I used to have a brochure that HRE sent me when they were first released but can't seem to find it. I think pricing starts around $1,300 each (MSRP), but have been told you can get them as low as $1k each if you have the right connections.

I think my tires will wear out first lol. How did you adjust that cover?

That might have to do with toe adjustment combined with the high maybe???

I readjusted the position of my covers and tightened all the screws..

I read it here somewhere, someone used a heat gun to bend his covers to get some space for his tires

this is what i got from the web, my friend was saying this is it.

description:
Giovanna Cuomo wheels in a black finish. These wheels are drilled with a 5x112 and 5x4.5(114.3) bolt patterns and are 20"x8.5". The offset is +35. They will fit many different automobiles.

If I do get these, would i need the install the newest sway bars?
any suggestions for this purchase?

thanks in advance.

Now: '04 C320 Evolution Coupe Previous: VW GTI 1.8T
I'm looking at some BBS LM replicas 19x8.5 and 245/35/19 all around.
Running stock suspension ('04 C320 Coupe) and may consider TEIN basic in the future. My guess is that the front is too wide? TIA

I just installed new wheels on my C coupe. They are 18x8 with 225/40/18 tires. But, I hear an extended clicking sound from both rear wheels when I drive at ~10km/h which turns into a ticking sound as I drive faster. Is my tire size wrong? I have seen people here put wider rear tires on same size or bigger rims. The offset of my rims is ET 35 which seems to be correct. Except for the rims, my car is bone stock.

Did anyone see this problem before?

you need shorter wheel bolts- they are hitting the parking brake mechanism.

Thanks bumpnzx3, that's probably it. The parking brake pedal does feel a bit tighter than usual when I apply it. I had the parking brake on while installing the rear wheels & I did get an unusual click & jerk when I released it after I was done.

RADUSA.com (or something like that) can hook you up. good people, pretty good prices, and quality bolts.

Assuming that the bolts are the problem, just have a shop grind them down a bit so that they clear. No need to buy new bolts if it's just a minor amount that needs to be taken off.

the fact that they are the stock bolts doesn't really matter. different brands of wheels have the bolt holes drilled to different depths.

you could grind them down a little. i decided to get new ones because i would rather not cut corners. that, and i know my luck- somehow i would manage to screw the threads up and have to buy new bolts anyway.
