Quote: considering quality is probably the same, and looks are identical I would opt for the Luxe since it does have a chrome lip. The one thing i really don't like about the MRR GT1 is the the dull lip...

thanks for the input Roland.

Ill most likely save some money on the Luxe as well. Plus those center caps will be off once i get them installed.

Quote: i've heard about LUXE wheels, but not much.

However something everyone should know is that in the replica wheels industry there are only so many actual manufacturers from either China or Taiwan or Malaysia etc. Many company that carrry the same style are usually one and the same with a different name on the cap. just by looking at the line-up from Luxe I'm pretty sure they're one and the same cast with MRR, but just with a different finish and price.
+1 - in my old job I've been to many of these plants. It's like the plant that makes Callaway golf clubs in Taiwan - "Do you want them with Callaway logo Sir - or our housebrand without at a quarter of the price" - same clubs right down to Big Bertha.

Purchased many sets & dragged them back to our Hong Kong offices for friends.

Roc - if you are getting machined wheels they need to be clearcoated.

i think ima have to go with the polished lip GT1s cuz the LUXE come in 19x8 and 19x9, which isnt as good a fitment as the GT1's.

i guess ima have to sacrifice one over another.

speaking of Callaway...my UC Riverside business school director said he was one of the chief at Callaway before he decided to come back and teach.

will these wheels fit my car?
I been looking around for wheels to buy for a long time and came across these wheels. I have a 2005 C230k lowered on tein basics. I wanted som opinions before I buy them if they will fit?

this is the description of the wheels...

20" Staggered Axis Milano Rims 20x8.5(front) 20x9.5(rear) with tires which have about 65% of thread left. All rims does have some curb rash due to my wonderful wife. Asking $750 obo. The rims are alloy with a polish lip. The lug pattern are 5x112. It came off a '01 VW passat. The offset is et35(fronts) and et38(rears). The tires is 225/30/20 (fronts) and 245/35/20(rears). These are some really nice rims. The only reason I'm selling these rims is because I no longer have the VW passat. Thanking for looking.

it probably wont, too much lip on the front is a sign that it wont work. If you work on getting it fitted, it might, spacers, re-bore the centerhub, yaddi yadda...

go look at the aftermarket wheel thread, lots of info there.

Axis Milano does not clear the AMG or sport caliper up front without spacers.

I have the same car as you and when I was shopping for wheels I tried a pair of 20's similar to yours. The offset listed will work and clear the big brakes up front, but get ready for rub-city, as I was not even able to make a slow turn in the parking lot without massive rubbing against the fender lip with the 20's on. Too big for this car! I finally went with staggered 18's and they work perfect and ride nice, unlike the 20's which rode really hard.

i agree on the ride. it will ride a bit harder on 20s. when i put my 19s on i felt a very noticeable difference.

Anybody know where I can get some cheap replica Monoblock Vs?

Also if somebody can point me to some pictures of a coupe with Monoblock V on it, that'd be awesome. So far I could only find them on sedans.

Thanks!

I can only find 17" (looking for 18" or maybe 19") replicas or OEMs. They gotta be out there somewhere.
