Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has successfully swapped their trim to Birdseye Maple? I've seen a few threads here and there about people wanting to swap it, but I'd like to know if anyone did.

If so, how much did it cost, where did you get the parts, and how hard was it? I know how to do the console panels but I have yet to rip apart my doors.

... And if anyone wants to swap their Birdseye trim for my Aluminum trim let me know

Nick.

Me too
I would also like to do this. The alluminum trim dents way too easy.

taking apart the door is the same as any w203. it's in the DIY thread. the center console is similar to the older w203, but slightly different.

if you have the VIN of the car that has the birds eye maple K1motorsport can order OEM parts for you. or find mbenznl to order for you. don't expect them to be cheap tho. ash tray cover along is about $110 retail from dealership parts. I think the whole 10 piece trim set will cost you about $600-700.

I don't think the 2007 guys would give up those trims too unless they go CF, but the birds eye looks better than CF.

Nick PM me for my VIN if you want to order the trim.

Frank is right, I sure as hell wouldn't give up my trim, even for carbon fiber

$850 Euro is $1350 Canadian, about what I was expecting. Looks like the Birdseye is pretty popular though, so it must be pretty killer, maybe almost worth the $1350...

I put the laurel wood trim on my 04 Coupe.

Hated the dentprone aluminum.

By the way, I still have the slide door on the coupe cup tray if anyone needs it. Mine's now in wood. I got it at performance products for about 1100 I think.

the coupe doesn't have as many panels as the sedan has - hence the difference in price

@ waveykat - if I were you, I would rather go for the cinnamora designo as there is no black birdseye maple for the pre 2005s...

as far as BBM goes - I just sold the last 1.5 set I had in stock for the upcoming US trip so no more cheap deals other then all-new-full-price.

greetingz,

Call your dealer, I got a quote from them for approximately $1,200 w/o install. Thinking about doing it after I get my tax return. I hate how easily the aluminum scratches.

So does that mean if I want a set of bird-eye maple wood trim, I'm gonna have to custom make my own set? I would rather buy one that already made, Please let me know if any here know where I can find a set.
