CEL Help

I am getting code P0135 Bank 1 Sensor 1. I was curious if anyone could help me with what in the hell it is? I have eliminated tons of codes by changing out the plugs and maf, etc. If anyone can help me out its appreciated.

Ran the code thru my 05 C230k on-line manual and comes up with the O2 sensor and/or the connecting wire. Heater circuit in relationship to the amp the wire is carrying. This is a little technical for me but definitely the place to start.

Thread Revival:

Did you get the situation fixed? I am having the same problem. I changed both 02 sensors about 15k miles ago. I have an '03 C230 Sedan (M271). I'm getting the p0135 code, and only that code. This month I changed the spark plugs, coil packs, and MAF sensor. A while back, I installed new Cam Sensors and the plug/wires provided by MB to isolate the oil leak. I have not had any issues with bad mileage etc since then.

Still getting the p0135 code. Car failed inspection today. The car runs fine, has good power, the only performance issue is that I am getting about 5mpg less than normal. I installed Denso direct fit 02 sensors. Could this be a problem? Should I have gotten the factory ones from the MB dealer?

Any help would be appreciated.

Please fit genuine Bosch original O2 sensors - NOT universal even if they are Bosch. These cars are very sensitive to O2 sensors & it's obvious that you are running rich.

I can't guarantee that this is the only issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm hoping that solves the issue. Other than that issue the car runs, idles fine.
