Question Air conditioning after front defrost
In my 07 C230, if I push the button to turn off the front defrost, the air conditioning button lights up. Is this normal behavior? I am using the heat at the time, so I wouldn't want the a/c on. What gives here. Thanks in advance.

Unless this is something new to 07 something is wrong. When you push the button to turn off defrost it's supposed to return to your previous setting, so if you had the AC on previously, then yes it would turn back on. Otherwise it would not.

This is correct if the aircon is turned off. Defrost engages the aircon. If you turn defrost off & the aircon was previously off then the aircon light should burn.

Yeah I was reading in the manual that air conditioning was used like a dehumidifier as well or whatever, but why does it stay on? Or is the whole idea supposed to be that it comes on after you defrost? I guess I just don't get it. Should I be turning it off right away? I want heat! NOT A/C

When the AC light is ON, the AC is OFF. So when you turn defrost off the ac is off also. Assuming you hasd heat going.
