HID kit
Hello everyone, I'm new here. I have an '03 C240 and today I installed projector headlights w/HID kit already installed. When I turn the lights on w/the engine off they work fine, but as soon as I turn the engine on the flicker and turn off. I also get low beam H/L malfunctions. Has anyone had this problem and what can I do to fix this? Thanks.

you probably need antiflicker capacitor harnesses to be installed inbetween your ballast and oem harness. i have a spare set if you need them, ill sell for $35 shipped.
basically HID kits run 35w, your stock wiring harness runs 55w, when the hid kit comes on, its basically underpowered, so the antiflicker capacitors basically store the extra power they need to run flawlessly.

Yep, I got the ones from ebay. I mean, they work fine if the car is not on, lol. I'm gonna try fixing this, but if not I'll try to put on the original bulbs, but the projector H/L's look to good.

i can almost guarantee that you need anti flicker capacitors. check the wiring of the hid kit from the ballast to the oem harness, you'll see a middle harness with a capacitor of some sort, if you do have one, then im not sure whats causing the problem, i just know from experience because i installed HIDs in my projectors and fogs as well.
