I need to take my 2003 C240 into the body shop to get the rear end fixed from being rear-ended and I'm going to have them put an AMG style rear bumper on the car since I'm not paying for it.

Here's my question... Where's the best place to buy an AMG style front bumper if I want to do that at the same time?

I'm also curious if the C230 uses the same exhaust as the C240 but just has different tips that stick out that back? If so, where can I get these tips, and if not, what's the best way to find the AMG style exhaust from a C230 and will it work on a C240?

you can get the bumper from ebay or craigslist or mercedes junk yards.

as for the exhaust, it's just a little bit different, i think, only because of the different piping diameters. and you can just get a tip, cuz i think the c230 tips are screw on or something like that

+1. The 2005/06 C230's have a chromed exhaust finisher that really covers the 2 smaller pipes coming out of the muffler, making it look like one bigger wider pipe. 2007's actually have 2 AMG exhaust finishers, so their setup is a little different.

Whether the 2 pipe diameters are the same in the C240 and C230, I'm not sure. Also, not sure how the 2 pipes are bent coming out of the C230's muffler. I can check on my car and let you know. Because we're able to see them, I do know the 240's pipes come out and then gently bend downward.

What does it take to mount one of those ebay bumpers onto the car? Do they still work with the headlight washer nozzles?

it should work, but then again, fitment issues may come up. but hey, at least you get the euro impact strips, lol.

You may also want to check with Steve or Wanda from www.MBenzNL.nl I was talking about Sirius sat stuff with them via e-mail and Steve mentioned he had a full AMG front, rear and sides for my 04 C240 wagon. Real AMG. I can't swing it right now $$ wise. Worth checking with them. I think they stock and ship some of their stuff out of California.

I'm pretty sure that if I do this, I'm going to do it right so that I can have all the existing functionality which means I'll probably end up going OEM.
