40 HP for 1K? TVT Pre-race season sale

As some of you may know we recently finished up our TVT250 install kit on Wavey's C320.

Results

Stock(SI tune, UD Pulleys, Exhaust): 163 HP/ 169 TQ
Modded: 207 HP/ 219 TQ

Gain: 44 HP, 50 TQ

Results included shorty headers, which accounted for about 6 RWHP as was determined from delta pre and post headers.

Our kits include:
  • 6 Hi-Flow fuel injectors for maximum safety and HP
  • K&N Air Filters for maximum air consumption
  • Our Aluminum Intake tubes for increased flow and smoother air ingestion
  • Custom ECU tune designed for your car with your modifications
  • Modified thermostat for cooler running temps

These modifications will not only add more power but improved fuel economy as well. You can expect 1-2 mpg increase if you can resist from getting on the gas all the time.

Special Sale Price for the kit will be 999.00 shipped to the USA. Sale is good until 2/28/09.

Thanks,

Anthony

The numbers are at the wheels. Every dyno is different, its the delta that matters.

Anthony
I'm confused. You say stock and then list some mods.
Are you saying he had these mods before you replaced anything?

Does your kit includes UD pullies? (I'm guessing no)

It would be interesting to see the difference on a truly stock car.
It's surprising how little power he had to the wheels before you got to it.
I'm quite sure the C230 with just a OD pulley does better than that, even with an automatic,
and he's already got upgrades installed.

I think I recall this being discussed elsewhere.
Re: the thermostat.
Does MB sell different temp thermostats?
or did you somehow modify it?
I guess I'm wondering if I might benefit from that.
With the mods I'm running, indeed the engine can get hot.

Sounds like a nice kit you've put together.
Any pics of the header?
You seem to have some dead links on your website for the C230.
As there is NO ONE offering any type of complete kit for the M271 engine....
you might want to look at that.

For me, perhaps larger injectors and tune could add some more HP?
It would be nice if someone offered an integrated kit instead of just each thing
***** nilly...ha, my exhaust system is that for sure.
I mean, headers, exhaust, OD or UD pulley (depending on the engine), injectors, tune.
Seems like there'd be a market for that, and companies in the mb community
are just insane when it comes to pricing.
Kleeman is having a sale on the M271 headers for $1000, and people consider that a deal.
Sounds like an opportunity to me.

(I'm M111 though FYI, the only company offering a header is supersprint and they sell for about
$900, their mufflers cost a grand!! What a joke!!)

Not really needed. Even after many hot runs the tubes are cool to the touch. Aluminum doesn't really hold in all the much heat.

Yes, Stock in that respect is what his car had, coming to us.

As of yet our kit does not include UD pulleys, but we are having sets finished up that will be lighter then what's currently available

We tested a SLK230 with our intake on the same dyno, same day and it put down 6 more HP and about 5 more TQ. The DT loss in the C is higher then in the SLK however. So there are a lot of things that come into effect when comparing stuff like that.

I think I recall this being discussed elsewhere.

We modify the thermos and to my knowledge MB does not offer lower temps.

Yea, our site is a work in progress. As for the headers they are VRP, which I believe are on sale right now. From our experience its not cost effective to introduce a shorty style header into these engines. On the v8 then maybe, but on the v6 it doesn't make sense unless you want every last bit of power. Long tubes are the way to go, maybe in the future we can offer something like that.

For me, perhaps larger injectors and tune could add some more HP?

It's hard to say what will and won't help your car at this point. A lot of testing and logging goes into figuring out what exactly these cars will benefit from. Just throwing a bunch of parts at something is a waste of money.

As for the Kleeman prices being too expensive, you have to look at their quality. They make some of the nicest headers out there. I think 1K is a steal for a product that good in a very small market.

(I'm M111 though FYI, the only company offering a header is supersprint and they sell for about

With that said... SEND US SOME CARS!!!
