I think I've seen it all

Am I blind or is this true. Please look at Genuine Mercedes-Benz Lube, Oil & Filter Service. Read the fine print. " Not a manufacturer's recommended service"??? A Mercedes dealer doing an Oil Change and saying not a manufacturer's recommended service. Did they write this so people go with the Service A?? So If I do this service and something happens to the engine, is the warranty not going to cover it saying not a Manufacturer's Recommended Service? But thats not a bad deal for an oil change.

200 Bucks plus tax and waste fee for an oil change and a so to say check up on the brakes, and inspect tires.

I think it's for people that don't trust the 13k miles until service and want to get their oil changed midway. $50 in between services ain't so bad for peace of mind.

Service B is a waste of money huh?

Says Not Manufacturer's Recommended Service for the brake service also. 160 dollars better be a Manufacturer's recommended service lol

if you know what you're doing, then definitely, Service B is a waste. the cabin filter that they basically charge you $100 for can be had for $30 and replaced in 3 minutes.

$160 for the pads actually isn't too bad from a dealer.

I'm sure if you print this ad maybe your dealer might match the price??

I think the catch it UP to 7 quarts and it says Synthetic oil not like service A where it says mobile 1 synthetic.

Or even better, anyone with photoshop skills? Change the name of dealer and logo and wala

That's just it - they do not use mobil1 and who knows if its the paper filter. That is why the fine print says it isnt MB approved.

You can get a Bosch cabin air filter from autohaus for $11.. so easy to replace. That's a major ripoff at the dealer.

OEM does not mean its the proper filter if you are basing your oil changes on the FSS. If the idiot dealer (tons of them do this) puts in a paper filter and you wait for FSS to ask for an oil change you will have possibly done damage as the paper filter can break apart into the engine with so much mileage on it. FSS was designed ONLY for the fleece filter as is written on the sticker under your hood (certain model years). The dealers will often make up excuses to explain why the paper filter is ok - they are lying.
