Anybody heard from c230Jeff??
Before anyone asks, a few things:
--- NO, I am not/did not try to get a MB warranty claim out of this.
--- YES, the washers were installed facing the correct way, they never left the bolt.
--- NO, the pulley was not dropped, nor damaged prior to or distorted as a result of the installation.
I do not want to discuss any of the details of the incident further until it is completely resolved, which may take a little while yet.

I did get my car back a couple of days ago, it was a long time in the shop. The woodruff key did shear, the engine had to be pulled, and parts had to be ordered from Germany (many parts are not stocked in the states, and in some cases, are JIT produced in Germany).
