your idea is creative, but flawed. only another fluid(the new stuff) can push the old fluid out of the converter and trans cavities. therefore, by trying to do that, you would not only cause excessive wear on the pump, but you'd still be left with old fluid in the converter and trans system. as splinter mentioned, there is no way of draining all of the fluid short of disassembling the entire transmission. the only way to get the old fluid out is to literally waste an extra 5-6 liters.

They actually have machines that do "fluid replacement". Often wrongly called a "flush", there's no pressure other than the pump (thankfully or you might blow some seals). They are hooked up in line to the trans cooler. I don't know how much fluid it takes with those though. I've heard you need to activate all the shift solenoids to get a 100% replacement.

Shivi - The Fuchs 4134 is absolutely fine for the 722.6 transmission in your car.

I can well believe that. The fluid in the cars that I have helped change was still clear & bright in oilco terms. Had hardly changed colour. I'm 4000Km off of my 60,000 Km fluid flush & change. My fluid is unstressed. I will let you know how it goes & what it takes.

dexron 6 on nag1 ???
Hello everyone. I have a w203 C220 with nag1 (5 speed). I would like to change ATF oil.. my car mounts atf MB236.10. I would ask if I can mount the DEXRON VI ( http://lubricants.petro-canada.ca/re...72&language=en ) or could cause damage?
thanks
thanks

Dexron VI is the wrong fluid for Benz 722.6 & 722.9 gearboxes. It has the wrong frictional properties & will lead to failure of the multi wet-plate clutches.
Only use fluids meeting 236.10 or 236.12

Thanks for the reply.
I ask because in the technical-date, "Application" ( http://lubricants.petro-canada.ca/re...72&language=en ) they say: "It is fully back serviceable for
DEXRON ®-III (H) III and IIE applications." ? Give wrong indication?
I want an oil that reduces the slippage of nag1.
thanks so much for the friendly and fast responses

No Dexron formulations are suitable for 722.6 & 722.9 - 5 & 7 speed automatic transmissions.

Tony - I don't know where you are? Canada? Your car is a 5 speed auto C220 Diesel - Yes? Then it has a 722.6 transmission.
If you can't buy the Fuchs Titan 4134 fluid where you are then buy the fluid from your dealer.
Please complete your profile so we know where you are.
Good luck!

Matt - have you any idea what he means by NAG or nag1 Is that speak from your side of the pond anywhere???. I'm not familiar with it - it can't be "Naturally Aspirated Gasoline" because the C220 is a diesel here???
We have a language barrier - trying to help. From my international days I can usually decipher.

I am Italian, I'm not good at speaking English .. : ( My car is diesel.
it is strange because the nag it mounts dexron3 of of varied marks... agip,castrol,mobil1,valvoline etc..
I do not understand because dexron6 is not suitable.
attention, the technical cards of the dexron6 say that it can replace the dexron3 dearly.I am confused...
my car uses: "Castrol TQ-DIII or TQ-D, Agip DexronIII or ATF II D , Tamoil ATF II D." -> here because I do not understand in order which reason cannot replace with dexron6
