Question On Smoked Tail Lights?
i have a black c240 and im thinking about smoking out the tail lights, mirror siganls, and corner lens. Question is how do i actually do this?? lol
or should i just a the S-Class Tail Lights and clear corner lens??

get the clear mirror lense, it looks better.
the smoked side marker will look good on a black too

You can also get the spray tint at your local hobby shop. If you have there is one. I used the one that they use to tint the model r/c cars with and it worked well.

You can buy the tint from ur local auto shop, take the tail light off, clean the lens completely, spray thin layer, just remember very thin layer, you want several thin layer rather than 1 thick layer. That will avoid drips and uneven area. After spray has been done to ur satisfy colour, spray "light coat" on top for several layer, thin layer again, several times. Then, use 1500 grit sand paper to start off, wet sand it. then move to 2000 grit, wet sand again, then finally if u desire, use 2500 grit sand paper, wet sand again. After sanding is done, use high gloss to polish it, then give a good wax on top, then ur done

yeap dark it is, 35% tail light tints (not window tints)
and yeap, corner lenses that I tinted a while back. but now, i have them painted.
tint flim I suggest more than spray and coat. b/c spray and coat, if you F up, u F up. But tint film, if u F up, u can redo. or if you dont like them, just simply remove it.

they have those "newer" S class style tails, the one with the white part already lightly smoked. if you get those, THEN smoke the red, it would be sexy sexy

I am looking for some replicable companies that people have used to tint their tail lights... ANYWHERE IN THE U.S.
My tail lights were tinted, I was rear ended, only one light broke... PROGRESSIVE INS replaced only one tail light, so now I have ONE RED tail light and ONE BLACK ONE.
the insurance company wants an estimate so they can decide if they want to replace the tinted one to red, or pay to send the non-tinted lenses out for tinting.
Desperately need help!
