I have exhausted Ebay searching for a 'front mesh grille'. Basically I was on the freeway and a piece of tire rubber flew up and knocked it clean off. Looks like the brackets are still there. I called a service center...and the price quote was absolutely absurd- $400 to replace. needless to say I laughed and said no thanks. sounded way too much. anyway, does ANYONE know where to get one of these? I have tried the OEM parts websites as well...no luck. Any help is appreciated.

same thing happened to me awhile ago. I found the set for $80 on ebay, also found a set on craigslist for around the same price, my want to check there too.

I had something similar happen just a few days ago... a bird flew in front of me and put a big dent in the middle of the mesh. I plan to just take it off and bend it back, but if I need to replace it, this will be nice information!

thanks for the help. I checked craigslist, ebay, and a bunch of benz sites. No luck. I'll keep looking...if worse comes to worse, I'll pull one off another C class I see parked. kidding.

trying just getting used to not having the grille! any chance you could take soem pics of it w/o the grill? I've always wondered how it would look w/o the front grille and just the IC showing!

Perhaps searching on the web for a wrecking yard? Just a thought. I also have a small dent in one of my grills by the fog light.

A buddy of mine used to sell them on eBay but he hasnt been selling them for a while. I recommend scrap yards/junk yards. You can prolly get them for $20-30 for all 3

FYI PN for the 2005 grill as below on my car for COUPE ONLY is
20388012839744 $131 + shipping.

Parts.com has it for $120.....but I wouldn't order from them....they're not actually a parts
dealer just a middle man, and the prices can change without notice....
I did order one order from them and got lucky, everything mostly went OK, but the shipping
was outrageous, and they increased the price of one item without my permission by about 10 bucks.

PS jackhrobbins- It's really bad form to just show up here, not introduce yourself and expect people to solve your problems. You're lucky. Usually we eat newbies for breakfast...

which piece do you need- center, left, or right? I've got the center piece if you need it. It's 8/10 as far as looks go. I hit a small deer last summer. That's one of the parts that was damaged. I spent some time straightening it out and it looks really good. Good enough that I wouldn't have replaced it had the insurance company paid to replace it. It's yours for, say, $15. That will cover the price of shipping and a beer on my way home. I can take a picture of it if you would like. On a side note- this is for the '05+ sports/amg grille
