Hi
How much can I expect to pay for MB to replace when I need mine doing? Are front and rear same price? Are they special MB pads that you can only buy from them?
I wish I could have some pads that did not make such a mess of the wheels.

I'm not sure about the pricing of the brake pads, but it will definitely be more expensive than when you but it on your own. The front and rear are different sizes. You don't necessary have to use MB's recommanded pads. There are people on this forum have change their pads to some other brands that has less brake dust then the oem pads. Search around, you should be able to find them.

So within the first 1 or 2 years, or 40K kms they are replaced for free... like lights and wiper blades.

brake pads are never replaced for free, unless they are defective from the factory. You wear them out, you pay to replace them.
