Bringing up an old thread again but I am about to replace some stepper motors and will be updating since everything will be apart.
I am trying to figure out how everyone who updated the upper control panel what they used to wire it. From what I read it looks like the connectors are different.
I went through the whole thread several times and did not see the answer. I can't seem to find the connector at a junk yard. Does anyone know the OEM part number for it? Any help would be appreciated.

I have answered it several times. I just used a internal White PC computer conector. Works perfectly. You cant buy just the conector lose. You have to buy the hole wire loom and it is big and expensive.

...for people with a bit more options on a car...and for those who want everything to work:
- when swapping the upper switch row from oldskool to newskool you need to be aware that both the ESP switch and the parktronic switch are no longer able to switch the features OFF and back ON again meaning that you can only switch these features OFF once and cannot switch them back on untill you switch off your car and restart it again...the same goes for the power rear sunshade button - that feature requires a newer rear SAM to maintain working.
In order to maintain the OFF/ON feature of these switches, the ESP unit and the parktronic unit need to be changed out for newer ones
- W211 instrument clusters do not work in a 203...W209 instrument clusters do work and those have been retrofitted several times before (with proper odometer readings)
- the W203 Bose sound does not work with a NTG2.5 comand
greetingz,

greetingz,
Can you please explain a bit better because I seem to have the same problem with ESP and Parktronic.

Yes, but what about the ESP and Parktronic "On-Off Mode" that doesn't work properly?
It works only oneway turning off ESP and Parktronic. To set them back on you need to turn off the engine and turn back on.
Any help for that?

Just one more question. I have no display on the climate controle panel and a normal radio like in this picture. Is it still possible to upgrade like you did and are all the cables there to connect everything? Sorry if i ask things you dont know.

Restart old thread
hi,
this is a reallly old thread but aftwr so many messages I’m lost....
First of all, can anyone tell me if I have the 11/2001 model or 2002 please?
I have the VIN number... WDB2037451A300374
Also, what exact part number of the Cluster do I have to buy so it is plug and play? I can’t seem to find a new W209 Instrument Cluster from 2005-2007. All that I see are from ebay and have 200,000+ KM.
thanks
I just had to do this to my wifes car...
She also complained the old style felt a bit old now..
Got this used..
Got this used..
Got this used..
Got the Comand NTG 2.5...
The before pic....
You have seen this before on how to remove this so
I just let the pics speak for them self..
Test of the new AC unit before continuing. Plug n play!
Test of the new Coand unit before continuing. Works great!
And Indy showed up...
The old plastic braket needs to be swoped for a new one that the new
panels fit to so all this has to be removed inc the glove box.
Glovebox and center conlose removed and the panel gets off..
Now it is just to put the new panel in and assemble it all back like it was removed.
He shows up again.. Indy..All works..
