Check engine light on after gas tank were way empty
Ok so on Thursday i drove my car about 35 miles with the gas light on. I was driving on the highway then i filled it up again and drove it on thursday night and friday with no problems. today and about 2 hours ago i started the car and drove it less than a mile and the check engine light came on. the car still drive the same with no problems at all. any one of you guys have any idea whats going on? please let me know

Go to an auto parts store and get the codes. They should let you use the scanner. Then report back.

ok guys well i started my car today in the morning and the light is gone now. I just rememberd that on friday night i went over a big parking bumper and it hit bad after a few second the light came on so do you think that is the reason?

I still think it was the gas cap.Perhaps after the fill-up you started the car before the gas cap was replaced or something.The CEL will reset after a couple of miles.Anyway , you're back to good !

Bad news for me the light came back this morning, some friend checked it up and its something called the camp sensor or something like that need to be replaced. Can I do that myself or its hard?
