1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
I'd say to go with coilovers. You'll have a nice, low, stiff ride. Now, if you want something softer, go with air.

Here are a few pics I found online and the link is to a car on car domain. I think C/O are the way to go though. Hope this helps you decide.

this is a bagged C-klasse. it's from belgium.
it has a pretty mad setup for the airride...
here some pics:
reason for the 8 comressors in the trunk ?
->
i have no details of the setup, but it was made as a project car for a belgium company called Keansuspensions.
they started from kw v2 coilovers wich they adapted by mounting bags on and stuff... they build there own airride sets
grtz

You can go as low as you want with bags the only thing is cutting out your wheel well. With enough cutting and adjustments you can drop your car to the ground with no problems. IMO I dont like that look on a Mercedes but the first pic I posted of the lowered car in motion is as low as I would go. I like the tucked look but not when its as extreme as the white cars I posted. Just my 2 cents. Post pics when you complete your lowering project.

IMO, COs should be good enough and low enough and you can tuck them in IF you have the right ETs, especially the fronts.

It's all good man, nobody has to like my wheels but me but they are 19x8.5 on all for corners w/ 25mm spacers on the rears - soon I'll be running eithier 5mm or 10mm up front. Thanks though. I was going for a look that you don't see too often. Be cool.
