Trey,

Glyn covered it all, so follow his suggestions and you should get it sorted.

I am amazed how much corrosion is on the pins of the ESP module. What did the socket pins on the connector look like? If they are bad, you may need to get a connector repair kit for it.

Thanks Guys. So one of the pins broke off so i am trying to source a new module. From My research it looks like the PN my car has is only used in 01 or 02 sedans. Sadly I can't find any out of an 01 or 02 sedan ...any idea if a wagon one with a different PN would work? I would think the different PN's have different parameters for control but a wagon vs sedan are so close i would think it would be fine? But since I can't find any information on them I hope to just find a sedan one with the correct PN's so I know it won't be an issue. Another interesting thing is trying one from say 04. The only thing that could be an issue I can think of would be the brake light sensor was removed. I wish Matt lived closer so I could barrow his
So on my way home the car went to limp mode and now after restarts immediately has the issues again so now it is parked till i get it fixed. Star says that the ESP module is not talking to any parts of the car but star will talk to it. Star also says that it suspects it is bad and with the corrosion damage it is a good place to start. I destroyed the case of the module to get it open to see if there was any corrosion inside and found none so that is upsetting. I was hoping it would be really bad so I felt it would fix the issue repairing it not just a maybe fix. My star system won't talk to the TCM so I can't check it out fully but the ECM says it is giving a code about the speed sensor but that looks to be related to issues on the can bus not having vehicle speed on it. So I hope that is the case and not a bad speed sensor in the Transmission.
My plan of attack is buy a new one put it in and see how many issues I am left with of course I will do my best at cleaning out the connector (it does not look that bad and I will have to test the wires to be sure if there are errors)
Sadly I might have to leave the Mercedes family sooner then I would like and get a cheaper car to be my DD to and from work as well as school but we shall see how big of an issue the car gives me fixing her back up. So for the first time since I got my car she has let me down not bad if I don't say so myself

Borrow Matt's what? Matt's ESP module?! I love you and all but I'd draw the line at the ESP module from my car being a guinea pig..

In all seriousness, I really hope you can get her fixed. It will undoubtedly be cheaper to fix the C320 than to buy even a cheap car as a daily driver. Plus all the work you've put in and how nicely it has been kept.. would be sad to see it go to waste.

Upon more research I could not barrow it anyway has to be off a 2001 or some 2002. I have called around junkyards and have only found one place with one for $465 1/2 the price of a new one.

So you're buying the $465 one and going to go that route?

Don't know yet have 3 places that are supposed to call me back with the PN off there units. The PN I need looks to be hard to find due to it only being on 01 and some 02 cars. There is the one I can get for $465 but that is a little high compared to the others. $150 , $350 and 224.95. The 224.95 is cracked but I am still interested if it is minor. I called most of the places around 2-3pm so I figure I won't hear back till tomorrow with the Part numbers. All three say they are off 01 c320 and c240's so that is a good start.

Money better spent than in Vegas.

I can't imagine this forum without Trey. He needs to start charging for Star diagnosis to keep the 320 running

You should try spending three days with him. Talk.. that boy can talk.. what shoes are you wearing? Where are we eating after the show? I don't know how the C320 lives with him!

Nah. It was a pleasure in every measure.

Hotels where you pay by the hour aren't the best.

Seriously, stay at the Venetian, eat at Delmonico's, see a show, and then drive to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. I could do that a couple more times and still be happy. Vegas is cheesy, but that's part of the fun.

I've done all that. I would rather go to Aspen or Mesa Verde, Monticello or the Smithsonian, San Diego (La Jolla) or Los Alamos, Pebble Beach concours etc. etc. I'd rather eat in Arnaud's Restaurant in Bourbon Street. The US has so much to offer you don't need to waste your time in Vegas.

Vegas has Celine. End of story. If I were retired and rich I'd see that show every night. It was amazing and Trey will back me up there.

Well Matt and I stayed at the Venetian it was nice but I think I liked Caesars more we stayed there one night as well. Next time I go I will try the Belagio. Sadly I did not get to go to Delmonico we ate at a cheaper place like 5 times lol the food was so good. Then one night I went to FIX at the Belagio and had the best meal of my life

Vegas was cheesy but I loved it. I can't wait to go see Celine's show again and again. We saw her show all three nights we were there and wished we could see here even more.

Mesa Verde is so beautiful but it seems a lot of people don't know about it. Monticello and most of the good Smithsonian buildings are in my back yard I was very fortunate to grow up in Northern Virginia surrounded by so much history and be in such a good school system so I went to see all of it.

I want to go to some of the concours in southern California that would be such a great trip. and thanks for the nice comment don't worry I doubt I will ever leave you can't get rid of me that easy

Arnaud's is on Bienville and it's overrated, not to mention the biggest egos on the staff this side of Emeril. I lived in NO for 5 years.

If I had a disposable $96,250 I'd buy front row tickets to all 70 of her shows per year. Anyone going to Vegas between now and 2014 should definitely see this show. It's an intimate venue built specifically for her and there's no bad seat in the place. The knowledge that the Colosseum was built for her added to the special feel of watching her perform there, at least to me I can't speak for Trey.

Alright - just around the corner - 813 Rue Bienville - you can see the restaurant upstairs from Bourbon Street. Aussie & food critic, bit of a disconnect. When our Oak Point plant entertains execs at Arnaud's they pull out all the stops - love it! Some of the food is truly spectacular by US standards.

Anyway - we know you like "plastic" preferably sprayed silver - you stick to poop chute Vegas. If you like the casino experience go to Macau - far more civilised.

Agree with the rest about Celine but I'm tired of her.

Yeah - I'm lucky. When I was based in Dallas & later Marin County, Bay Area my colleagues used to rush home to Cape Town, Sydney or wherever home was every time we got a break. I used to climb in my car or on a plane & explore the US. I thought they were mad & the company was picking up most of the tab because we were expats. I used to say to them "If you can't find something you like in the US there is something wrong with you - it has a bit of everything!"

Virginia is a very beautiful place. I used to visit Richmond often to see the then Ethyl Corporation - additive company. Frequently used to just take a few days & drive. On one trip with a Philipino friend we did Williamsburg, Monticello, DC & Niagara all in one trip & then flew back to Dallas. Very interesting.

You should do the Pebble Beach some time & the historical racing at Laguna Seca the day before. Good fun.
