So the part came in today and I installed it cleared all the errors and car is great. Put about 10 miles on it and so far so good. So we shall see how long that lasts. I do have a rear shock that is leaking so I need to get a new one as well as fix the dam squeaking brakes lol
It is so nice to drive the benz again I am so ****ing happy right now

Out Of Control!!
With enough surgery, I'm sure she'll look the same for the next 40 years or so. There should be enough Canuck visitors in LV annually to keep her in high demand. Now if only Cameron needed a song for "Titanic 2: Judgement Day", she'd really be in business.

So did a transmission flush today that was interesting.
So My car had a pan change at 100K and then again at 139K so this is the first full flush at 171K
So I only used 12 3/4 Quarts of fluid because the fluid looks fine by that point and I wanted some extra to top off just in case my gallon milk container measuring was off.
It took about 5 hours once we started on it till the time we were done but we took about an hour break from really working on it when I cleaned the pan out and did some research on how much a new pan is. Sadly the drain plug was on so tight that we could not get the thing to move so I had to crack the back of the pan loose and try to catch all the fluid as it slowly leaked out. Another interesting thing was that my car does not have the magnet in the bottom of the pan. I actually knew it might not because of the build date but hoped it would. Since all I saw was aluminum stuff I decided that even though I have a magnet coming to the dealer tomorrow that I would save it for next oil change. so I could get my car back on the road... hopefully I don't regret it.
Almost forgot I do have a sample that I will be sending off to Blackstone to see how bad the fluid really was so that will be interesting will post once I have results.

Trey - The results are good. Nothing to worry about apart from insolubles which are not a train smash. Insolubles can be oxidation by-products or some minor clutch material.
How did you take the sample? Where from & how? There was black muck on your pan. If you sampled from the drain plug that would explain everything.
Taking truly representative samples is an art learned over time. i.e. trying to sample what the unit is seeing in circulation.
So this oil had done 32K miles from a full flush & filter?
I'm pleased they did a TAN as I said in my PM. It shows that oxidation is not out of control. There is some however.
