Scorchie: The 2005 manual does indeed have a section on telephone. What it does NOT have is a section devoted to explaining the meaning of each icon on the audio head unit.

I need a UHI for a 2004 c230 sadan to install a v60s with voice control too. I was told scorchie is the one to talk to.

Yes, he is. You can PM him, or email him at scorchie@mbenznl.com. I think the V60i is the only Motorola cradle available at this moment.

The current inquiry on the MB V710 is that they have no current date for release. MB is testing the current device from Motorola.

This information was obtained from the MB web site on the three telephone offerings. This is available in the Owners Online section, under Equip my MB.

The attached image is of the MB V710. Of interest is that they state Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

I have a few UHI kits left these cars:
- W203 sedan/coupe with/without TeleAid
- W209 coupe/cab
- R230 roadster (only one kit)
- W208 coupe/cab with TeleAid (one one kit)

These kits support your choice of:
- Nokia 6100,6610,7250i
- Sony T610,T616,T630,T637
- Nokia 6310i (one left)
- Motorola V60i (one left)
- Siemens S55,C55,M55,S56,C56,M56

No phone is included! Just a place to put your own phone.

No, these kits don't have anything to do with Bluetooth. It appears that Mercedes hasn't done anything with Bluetooth for the D2B cars, so this probably will not be added in the future.

These aren't self-install kits since we don't have the instructions done, but I wanted to get them out there for people that know they want UHI and would like to get it sooner.

Installation can be done in SF Bay Area, SoCal (OC), Texas, Vegas, or if you're in an area that Steve will travel this month. You can also contact Sunman for installation wherever he'll go (Houston, etc.).

(Peeps that have already been promised kits -- Doug! -- don't need to worry, yours is already allocated.)

Keep forgetting to add... the kits are $895. This price will probably go up next order unless there is really high demand (to get volume discounts) or the dollar suddenly gets strong!

There are only five kits for W203/W209 and one each of the other cars.

btw, are there any intructions or directions i can referance for UHI or is it self explanitory. also can i send/recieve SMS from my COMAND using UHI?

BT is INCLUDED with MOST-based systems if you pay to have the antenna installed and the wiring run back into the ****pit. We decided to make this a separate option because almost noone will want Bluetooth.

My understaning was that all I need is a blue tooth phone but i havent figured it out how to make the car recognize the phone.

Mercedes has TWO Phones for the USA..Motorola Phones...
You Must have the Correct PSE for Each phone..The car is pre wired for the Phones..But you need the Phone/cradle and pse to install...Then Version code the car to phone present with the Star diag.Then it will work.

Steve @ MBENZ.nl has a UHI kit (cradle and pse) that will work with several other types of phones... that is another option.
