THe 2005 will have UHI which stands for Universal handy Interface. Do a search for UHI. Handy means phone in german. You can add a 6310i to a 2005 via UHi but I would suggest the 6230b version.

Thank you very much - Any idea how much do they cost ..... I was also wondering where will the external Antenna of the car get connected to the 6230 .. The 6310i has a external Antenna connector at the back of the phone .....

No power fuse for cell phone -Help
I was installing the equipment for the Mercedes factory cell phone, PSE and compensator in trunk, cradle in center consule etc. Have voice control installed too.
I installed fuses 13 and 16 in the trunk, fuse 44 under the hood and went to install fuse 40 in the dash fuse holder. Either my factory fuse location is incorrect or I do not have a power connection to where fuse 40 should be.
Since all the other wires are in the car, is this power wire to the 40 fuse connector somewhere under the dash?
Below are photos of the dash fuse area.
The yellow 20 A fuse should be fuse 31
The amber 40 A fuse should be fuse 30
The red 7.5 A fuse should be fuse 42
The blue 15 A fuse should be fuse 41
Directly above 41 should be 40, no connector!

Also requires are relay N10/1/kP in the front SAM. All realays are installed there.
In the rear SAM relay N10/2kF is required.
The fuse instruction sheet A 203 545 02 00 does not list which relay is which.
It shows spaces for 8 relays, my Coupe has the first, second, fifth, seventh and 8th relays installed, top to bottom.
Do I also need another relay for the rear SAM

I need a photo showing the relay positions, this would make a great sticky.
Pretty hard to get power from the fuse if there is no outlet side: below is a photo of the fuse box underside. Seems main power comes in on the very large center red wire and goes out through fuses to each side of box.
Looks like additional outlet wiring (the purple and green) just clips onto the side of the main box. From there the smaller wires can go through relays, or direct to device.

Can someone with MB cell phone just look at what color the plastic piece is just above the purple 15 A fuse I can at least look behind the dash for that color. If MB color codes these things, then it should be sort of pinkish?
38 and 39 should be the black fuses holders above 40, and then 37 would be blue, 36 would be white and 35 would be yellow.

Search in the forums for more information on which cradles have the physical connector and which have the inductive loop (I believe it is only the Nokia 6220/6230 and 6100/6610/7250 cradles, but not sure... I posted it before).
p.s. UHI kits with US-spec Siemens COMANDs don't load the phone book; UHI kits with US-spec Becker COMANDs don't dial. ECE-spec Becker COMANDs don't load the phone book of US-spec phone systems. Other combinations may produce different results, and newer COMANDs may function better. This is all the data I have right now.

I am installing a Mercedes phone now. You need a special MB phone, either the V60 or Timeport, a PSE and compensator in the trunk, and a few fuses and relays. should be able to go factory for about $600. I can hook you up with a great guy that can give you the older Timeport for $400.
Or you can go with the new Universal UHI for about $900. That one will do factory with just about any phone.
Look at my thread https://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=89387

So I have a '05 C230 SS and I don't have the Communication Package for $1500. Can I still purchase a UHI kit and have it integrate with the MB phone kit? Does the dealer sell these UHI kits? Anyone have any prices?

Also, my post a few posts up explains how UHI kits don't work with US-spec COMANDs in many cases, so I will assume you're not in the US...

I'm in the US, California, Los Angeles. Will the UHI kit that Steve is getting work if you don't have the communication package?

Help
NicMat also does not have the connection on his 2004 W203 sedan.
no one has come forward with this information.
I assume you have to clip the pink power line to the fuse block, and run the power line somewhere? to supply power to the cell phone and or PSE/ compensator. After installing the fuse at 40 then the circuit would be complete.

The plastic fuse holder is the color of the paint on the fuse module where it plugs in. You are correct, that's what the color coding is for.
If the fuse holder is not there, then the wire going to it is not there. It usually all comes together on one harness.
