Will you or Steve have any this weekend at Marks?
I figured that the color would be the same, in this case looks like a pink.
Also do you carry the relays needed? I need one for the rear SAM.

The relays can be had at the dealership, they are in stock. We usually pull them out of my car to give to people. (Well, actually, the fuse holders can be found at the dealer too!)

I will pick up the relay at the Dealership Friday. Also either before Turkey tomorrow or Friday I will pull the Comand out and search for the illusive fuse wire.
The great question is what does fuse 40 power, at least I could start there and work towards the dash area. You would think almost every wire is there on US cars!

Fuse 40 controls passenger seat controle module with memory, it goes into the PSE pin 4 on a car with UHI, and on cars built after 06/01 it also goes into a bunch of places concerned with TeleAid, fixed installation phones, portable phone connector (for dash mounted phone), PSE for portable phone, and E-call. Quite an important fuse I would say. It seems to feed into a couple of Z-connectors in the car to be distributed.

My Coupe is a 2003 with the M271 engine, built 11/02.
It does not have TeleAid or power seats. Do you think the 40 wire is built into the car and coiled up some where? NicMat bought the UHI kit from Steve, but he has the same problem on his 2003 W203 built without Teleaid.
He put in fuse 13 and it keeps blowing without fuse 40 in the circuit.
What is a Z connector?
I eventually want the Multicontour drivers power seat (or CLK seat) with heating. That will require new door panels and switches, and the memory module. After that I can get the folding mirrors.

CitronC230K_03,
Please let me know how's the installation go? I have UHI with 6230 cradle, and my username is Nicmat in other forum, I have the same problem with breastroker of putting in fuse 40. Do you have 6230b or 6230? Thanks.

Phone and Voice working !!
I got my cell phone and voice control working today. Bought 2 relays A 000 542 13 19. One I found already installed in position P of the front SAM. Installed the new relay in position F of the rear SAM relay N10/2kF
Still no fuse at front dash position 40. And now I have SRS alarm in.
Mark sold me the voice module and together we spent some time getting things to work. The CD changer and Comand finally worked, but the Voice module did not. We had the voice module out of the loop! duh
I spent hours looking at how to make it work, and I still don't know how to get things to work with Bose rear amp.
But the following works for every thing else except Bose.
From the Comand Radio out fiber it goes to a small straight connector into the SBS IN fiber. Found out SBS is another MB term for voice module.
The SBS goes to the rear of the Coupe and goes to the Voice module. It comes back to the rear of the trunk and terminates into a straight connector with one red fiber out. I changed this to a 90 degree connector.
Previously to get the CD changer to work the Tele In and Tele Out fibers went to the trunk and were connected together with a straight connector.
The fiber under the dash labled Tele In (white connector) is abandoned front and rear.
The only white fiber in the trunk is Tele Out. It is combined into a 90 degree connector with the red fiber from the SBS out. The 90 degree connector is then plugged into the PSE in the trunk.
The Tele out fiber is connected with a straight connector under the dash going to the CD in (white) fiber.
This all works because fiber routing must go Radio (Comand) to Voice (SBS) to Telephone PSE to TeleAid to CD changer back to Radio.
When Steve put in the Comand he must have coded for everything else!!

breastroker, I am really glad it works for you now, I still have no clue why my fuse 13 kept blowing off and my UHi phone stillnot working. Is anyone here can help? Maybe I looped my fiber wrong and it kept short circuit???

CitronC230K_03 has power seats with memory, so I would assume he has fuse 40 installed. CitronC230K_03, you checked right?
Give me a call if you don't have the extra relay, I bought a spare.
I was surprised at MB of South Bay (Torrance) their parts people were great. Mark has told me several times about them, going all the way down to Fletcher Jones for service is a trip. FJ has zero interest in selling parts. Caliber wholesale sells at a great price, but South Bay also gives discounts to MB Club of America members
And they are interested in selling you parts.
Fletcher Jones is almost too big, hundreds of cars a day for service and hundreds a day for free car wash.

Comment of factory phone
I am totally amazed how great the integration of the factory V60 cell phone and Comand are. This is a great upgrade, worth every penny of whatever you pay for.
I had planned on getting the Timeport from Mark, but found the V60 at a great price on eBay. I had planned on getting the Mik box to work with the Timeport PSE, and upgrading to the V600 or V710.
Steve now sells the UHI kit, probably the best option of all.

2003 C180K Sports Coupe
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have a 2003 Sport Coupe with AHI interface. When I got it there were very few phones / cradles available, and I ended with a Nokia 6110 (I think).
Since then I believe there have been a number of other cradles released. Does anyone know the current list of phones supported by the C series cradles (AHI interface).
Thanks
Peter Walker

Nothing MB related (sorry)
It's UHI... and I know MBenzNL and Scorchie have been working on that phone system together. Actually, they even made it work for the C-class.
Here are some links you can check:

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/87507-uhi-2003-2005-cars-mbenznl-steve-preordering-phase.html
If you want to know for sure which cradles are compatible with the UHI phone kit, send an email to steve@mbenznl.com.
greetingz,
BigSis

Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Car Kit HCB-30
I finally decided to install the Sony Ericsson HCB-30 Bluetooth car kit, instead of purchasing a UHI kit. Its $325 installed. This is a fraction of the cost for the UHI. My friend had it installed in his Cadi, and it works wonderful. Next best thing to the integrated car kit from Mercedes. The best part is that it's pretty much universal for Bluetooth phones.
![](http://static.zoovy.com/img/bluetoothheadsets/-/sony_hcb30_e)
Theres also an attachment you can purchase: HCE-16. This mutes to music on your radio upon an incoming call.
![](http://www.1a-handyshop.de/images/artikel/er_hce_16.jpg)
There's also a remote (approx. 1") that's mounted somewhere on the dash.
![](http://www.smartphones.org.uk/smartphones/images/hcb-30.jpg)
Everything is wireless and syncs automatically upon starting the ingnition. You can sync up to 5 Bluetooth phones.
The sound on the speaker is really loud too. Even without the radio muter, it still rings loud enough for you to hear. My friend had his installed at BestBuy with a lifetime warranty for labor and lifetime uninstall. The cost is $75 for installation. I'm planning installing mine through a phone car kit company called MCC wireless, where a technician comes out to YOU to install.
I'll post pics as soon as its installed. Please let me know if any of you guys out there have heard any feedback on this product.

That unit will mute the radio as long as you don't have a BOSE system. If you have a BOSE system on a w203, then you're out of luck with that adapter. The bose is fiberoptic to the amp.

I had it installed earlier tonight. This thing is awesome.....surprised that not more people either know or install this car kit in their cars. Definitely worth the money.

HCB-30 is better than some of the others
I've done many of this type of install and the HCB-30 is the best Bluetooth "generic" car kit out there, far better than the Nokia CK-1W.

No it does not display and that is the main reason people don't use this kit. It is not total integration with mercedes benz cars, can't use it with people with fiberoptic amps like the BOSE or H/K on the 203's, can't use the steering wheel buttons, can't use the factory mic unless you cut it and splice it, no number will display on the instrument cluster or comand or radio if someone calls, can't use the factory voice dialling feature, radio will NOT mute when someone calls or places a call, usually have to install another antenna, have to mount a switch somewhere that does not look OEM.
