I am psyched! The price is a bit steep, but this is great. Does anyone know where the list of approved phones can be found? I have a Verizon Treo 650. I was really getting bored with my car and with the mods available...until this! WOOT!

What mic pics up the voice for the phone? The phone's mic? I don't have teleaid, so it can't be the teleaid mic...

Glad to see you doing this to an 02 coupe!

ooooh, I think I figured it out! He is saying he purchased the Argos for Mercedes kit. He didn't understand that we were asking did he purchase the kit made BY Mercedes or the kit made by Argos FOR Mercedes.

Bryan, i have been struggling with the install
I have Bose, Command by Steve MBenzNL, and also sport on my c320.
I had been wondering whether you could tell me how to hook the argos up to radio out or sth. It had been painful to install.
Once it work but it cant dial out to my O2 XDAIIi phone and there is no sound that came out

To address the price issue... remember, that this is a COMPLETE phone installation. You do not need any prior phone electronics to make it work and it is MUCH less expensive than a Mercedes setup. There are a lot of expensive processors in the Argos box, and our cost to manufacture actually went up last week, but we have held firm on the price.
We are the US support and sales arm for ARGOS. If you have any questions you can call us at 678-528-3443

I have a 2003 c230 coupe, and am trying to install the argos kit that i recieved today. Following exact instructions on this page + the argos installation, ofcourse it did not work, there are two things that are different, one there is no spot for fuse 40 in the driver side fuse box, and my fiber optic cables came connected like this: tel in was connected to sound out, And Sbs out + in were connected to each other. I figured that since tel in was connected to sound out there was no problem and went ahead with the install, and everything else worked until i got to the fuses and my car has no place for fuse 40.

I just received and installed the Argos Bluetooth kit in my C32 today. The device works great. I'm using it with my Samsung A900 with Sprint. It fully supports all the voice features of the phone, like 'call jim' or 'dial 555-1212'

I highly recommend the kit, it is worth the $$

Like the others said, the instructions it come with are pretty minimal, and I don't know if I would have ever found the cables without the pictures on this thread. The total install took about 30 minutes.

Update: You are not able to browse your phonebook with the A900. Also, you cant generate DTMF touchones. You can still push the buttons on the phone to generate them though

I'm not sure if that's it, because I don't think I have one of those. I think you only get that if you have Tele Aid.

I know I have cell phone prewiring though.

The above pic is correct. You can snap out the black circle. Inside is the mic, and that can be disconnected. I took mine out so that I can install the mic from my aftermarket unit in there. Perfect placement for sound transmission.

that picture is for pre 2005 W203s...your 2005 W203 has 4 mics inside the rearview mirror housing...which can be seen at the bottom of that mirror

greetingz,
Ohhh, yea, I see these 4 holes at the bottom of my mirror, I never knew those were for microphones.

Thanks Steve!

To tromar1:
No problem, it's weird that Mercedes would change so much in the same car. But it's good we got both sides for the other people wondering where they should speak to.

I am not sure of what you mean by do they work on a 2003 car but a 2005 mirror will fit but the mic will not work correctly. The new mirror has 4 mics. Old mirror has 1 mic. You can wire the new mirror so only one mic will work.

I wanted to ask if I remove a 2003 mirror with mic and install a 2005 mirror with mic it will work...
Doesn't the mic plug is the same, or it have four plugs now for each mic?
Strange, everything like cables, etc.. being diferent

P.S: I don't have any mirror with mic, I want to install a UHI kit and I need a mic, thats why I'm asking

No it doesn't plug in...the 2003 is suposed to have 1 mic with 2 wires...the 2005s and up have 4 mics with 6 wires...depending on what model mercedes has, the MOST based UHI kits come with either 1, 2, 3 or 4 mics...all D2B UHI kits use 1 mic
