Why not just move to New England. Our motorists vigorously defend their "right" to drive distracted. RI has a proposed statute that prohibits 16 and 17 year olds from driving distracted, granting impunity to others.
The MB system is fine, albeit pricy. Mine is the V710 MB phone, with the $200 snap-in cradle and the $765 050 Hands-Free Integration kit.
It doesn't work well entering the vehicle while talking, unless the other part is alerted there will be a comm gap. Exiting is no problemo. My pet peeve is the delay, every single time, to update the address and call records into the vehicle from the phone. It should be smarter, to only update the address book, when required.

They don't work unless you do a lot of tweaking. I have one and but I also needed to get a frequency counter to tweak it and so far I can only take out CDMA (Verizon and Sprint) at about a measured 26'. I need to do more testing with AT&T phones, especially all those smug people with iPhones. I'm doing it for my buddy's medical office since he posts "turn cell phones off" at the front door but people don't. No need for 911 there, the receptionist can call it from her land line.

My wife has a Motorola T305 clipped to her sun visor and loves it. The sound quality is actually pretty damn good...much better than I expected.

Just look it up on FCC. Not sure of the exact rules, but I'm pretty sure most devices in USA/Canada have the whole "can't create interference, must accept interference from other devices" clause.

You CAN do anything you want, the question is MAY you do it and that answer is an absolute no because those frequencies don't belong to you, they are not free to air, you are transmitting without permission and off course, no cell phone company in their right mind would let you. Of course the FCC would have to hunt you down, setup suvailance and nab you in the act and then prove that it was you that did it, not some rogue employee or patient. It's certainly not going to happen if you transmit within the bounds of your home or your private office. First their survailance equipment would not be allowed in your premises without a warrant. If you do it in the street you are more likely to get prosecuted but the reality of getting caught when you are using it sparingly, for example, in a line where the person is holding it up on a call and you want to speed things up, haha.
The funny thing is when you do it, you think it's not working because the person talking keeps yakking for a while before they notice their call has been dropped.
As for the Motorola handsfree, it gets really bad reviews on howardforum, don't get it. Get the blueant unit instead, many like it and blueant is a well respected company for bluetooth, Motorola is not.

Bluetooth puck wont work
I purchased a V60 cradle and a motorola bluetooth puck from eBay (separatley) for my '03 C320. I plugged the cradle in the outlet inside the armrest, clicked on the phone button on the radio and can't get the puck to work. What am I doing wrong? The key is in the ignition and is set on

Did your car have a cell phone setup in it before?
If you added a BT puck and a cradle into a car which was "prewired for cell phone" then you need more hardware before it will work.

I randomly picked this ebay seller, not saying you should get from them.

I had one of these Motorola T305 units and can tell you it works quite well. I only switched to the Parrot Minikit because this one is more friendly to sharing it with other cell phones. The T305 is very compact, easily transferable between vehicles, charges w/ the same charger as RAZR and if you are the only one that's going to use it is well worth the low asking price that they can be obtained for.
