amg test drive day - gulfstream
is anyone going to this,
what does it entail...is it worth it, or can u do the same thing just going to a dealer to drive around...

I have called the 800 number and she gave me the following info:
-it is on a track.
-available cars to drive are C63, E63 and SL63.
-It will take close to one hour.
Based on what she states, I think you may get about 15 mins behind the wheel of a car on that closed track.
I am debating on going myself

sounds like a chance for people to get behind the wheel on those cars (C63, E63, SL63) and open them up on a track, i'm not too certain whether you'll be driving? passenger to a Mercedes pro driver? (cant imagine theyd let just anyone that breaks the age minimum to get in the driver seat right?)
its basically a ***** to the wall test drive =) if you tried going into your everyday dealership and doing that im pretty sure theyd throw you out at the first red light you got to =p

heck when i was 16 i got a dealer to let me test drive a c55 with my friend by our selves. it did help we showed up to the dealer in my dads slk55 amg.

Looks like a fun event. I'm just wondering why I got the invite; I've got a car that MBUSA doesn't even want to exist (and certainly have never expressed any interest in AMGs, which I consider bloated in price and weight, and generally not much fun when considering the lack of driver involvement), and have told anyone who will listen to me that this will be my one and only Benz ever. Well, maybe an SLK350 in manny form if they get cheap enough.
Not that I would cancel my reservation for someone more deserving, of course.
