Miss fire on cyclinder #4
Is this something I should be concern of?
Please advise.
Basically, something in your ignition system isn't working or similar. Dirty/old spark plugs or plug wires, or failing coil packs, can cause this. Furthermore, dirty or defective injectors can do it, too.
How many miles are on the car?
You want to do the cheaper things first. If your car is below 100k miles, don't worry too much about your coil packs. Swap your plugs for cylinder four out, along with the wires. Run some techron through that sucker.
I'm going through this same exact issue.
Also, your stealership may lie to you at times. Does your car shake at idle in drive? Have you ever felt a sudden drop in power out of nowhere, or a stutter? Perhaps a symptom in my thread I linked?

So a new set of spark plugs, Plug wires should be good?
Nope, I have got any expereinces of what you mention. Still pretty solid. Although on the first start up, it does makes some enginee noise. Perhaps this is normal for Mercedes?
Is there a distrubuter in this car? If so does this have to be replace? How about cap and rotor? Please excuse me, I am a noob here
. I used to drive an integra and these are the items I look at when ever I play with miss fires and such.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

The wires are a pain to get off sometimes. Rotate the wire connecting to the plug to loosen things up.

^Great write-up for the v6.
OOPS! My apologies, 2004 C230's still have the kompressor/4banger. Just use that v6 thread for reference then.

Yea, I guess the V6 don't kick in until 2006 models. But even so, they have transmission problems. So the question is minor enginee problems or tranny problems that affects the enginee. After reading so much horror stories, I am wondering if there is any solid MB models at all.
Oh.. One more thing, supercharge vs just V6, I guess it depends who you ask about which is fun.

Get techron form autozone or something. Much cheaper there.
The C230K does not have engine problems, and the C230 V6 does not have transmission problems. The early cars were problematic electrically but the engines and transmissions were always solid.

As for c230k, well, I am sure this forum pretty much speaks for it. With the hose, senloid and such. I think that is pretty much "minor" enginee problems.
Or I am just being a little extreme on this.
Oh, also some miss fires on some cyclinder as well.
