Manual for removing back/front bumpers?

Hey guys,

Is there any sort of online/PDF manual that guides you through the process of how to remove the back and front bumpers from a '04 C240?

I can see some rust starting to spread in the crease between the back bumper and top of body (if that even makes sense) and I would like to get that rust outta there before it consumes even more of the body.

Please help fellas!

Thank you!

Unfortunately I still don't see a proper guide for the C240, there was a video which was removed, and a PDF manual for the Coupe, not Sedan.

Anyone else care to chime in on this subject? The manual for the Coupe is not too helpful..

Thanks!

FOR THE FRONT: Although I was able to remove my bumper using about 90% of the write up from the coupe, there was 1 or 2 minor differences. Just be careful when removing the screw from under the wheel well. That clamp must be removed then you have to pull the bumper up and out I believe ( i can best describe this part as the two pieces of bumpers being "clamped" on by a piece that needs to be lightly wiggled out in a certain direction). If you don't do it a certain way, you'll be damaging certain parts. Thankfully I didn't get to that point. And don't break any of the clips or push pins. Be as careful and PATIENT as possible when removing the bumper. If i recall right, the Sedan has screws where the fog light grills are instead of "push pins" like the write up says. I think they're 8mm.

I've never done the rear bumper.

Take your time and hope all goes well.

@seagel: Thanks for taking the time to explain that, I think I got an idea of what to do.

@ontmis: You rock dude, exactly what I was lookin' for.

I managed to get the back bumper off without damaging anything, surprisingly.

About the front, does it need to be removed in order to replace the headlight and foglight bulbs?

For replacing the fog lamps, it is not necessary to remove the front bumper; however, you will need to remove part of the wheel liner and the plastic panel (under the car) that is in between the bumper and the front wheel to access the fog lights.

For replacing the head lights, you will need to loosen the front bumper and pull it slightly forward. It's not necessary to pull the front bumper completely to replace the headlights.
