So I need to replace the passenger side cat. But i do not feel like spending 800 bucks on one. Can I use a magnaflow universal cat to replace it? or are there anyother options out there?

you can but i advise you not to, simply cuz after 6 months you end up replacing it again, same thing happened to me and i decided to go cheap and had magnaflows on and after six month they broke and and i ended up paying more and got OEM.

what year is your car? I had my 03 c240 cats replaced under the emissions warrenty which here in Canada is 8 years 130,km

My car is a 2004 with 98,000 miles. Does that warranty cover in the US as well?

I just read it and only covers up to 80K. I am planning on trading in soon anyway for a better MB so I think I may just get the cheapos. Rather save the extra 800 for a down payment on next car.
