Transmission sequentronic - WONT SHIFT GEARS!
Hi all!
I've got a 2001 (Y) C200K Sport Coupe with the Sequentronic Manual Sequential Gearbox 716.6. Yesterday, parked the car in the garage and today when I went to her out, I noticed that I can not turn in reverse, heading Neutral goes into reverse for about one second and again off inscription written out to choose again and so I tried several times without result. All this made him only to reverse, but after several attempts and already the first or speed automatic, refused to switch. Most interesting is that when the car engine is not running and the car is only a contact switch gears without any problem from first to reverse. However, when running engine can be switched any gear turn for a moment and off, is shown: select gear again.
I tried everything I could think of:
- check the oil level and filter in the gearbox, both in itself gearbox and hydraulics in which changes gears - Change oil and filter, Original Mercedes with precise specifications and quantities of fluid from the Mercedes WIS;
- All connectors and cables checked and cleaned, I found no oil in them or corrosion;
- checked fuses and relay transmission, everything is properly;
- I checked the battery and all cables from it;
- scanned by MB Carsoft, but did not detect absolutely no errors, however, can not scan EGS, I guess because of the volume that the box is sequentronic 716;
- I noticed that the engine running when I try to shift gears, flashing light in the cockpit. However, I checked the battery and even tried a different but no change, because I read that, w203 were demanding to battery and battery capacity.
If anyone can help me I have no idea what else to do. Thanks!

Ah, Sequentronic.
The option they never exported to the US.
How is it when it works correctly?
How long does it take to change gears?
Sorry I can't help, I've never seen or driven a car w/ Sequentronic but I'd like to.

Electrohydraulic activation - If it's in limp & trying to engage the wrong thing I suspect electronic brain fade.

So, is there still a clutch and the computer activates it?
You shift each gear manually, but without having to operate a clutch a clutch, correct?

Yes, a hydraulic clutch, which is bearing pump driven by a control module, the interdependence of the speed of the motor automatically switches gears ... There are two modes, automatic and manual, from the first it the sixth and rear. There is no clutch pedal, only gas and brake pedals. Personally, I much I like this gearbox.

Is it possible, however, if there is a failure in the control module when the car is of contact and the engine is not running, switch gear, and when the engine is started to not shift gears.

I forgot to mention that before changing the fluid itself gearbox, I noticed that the speed sensor / A0041536928 rpm sensor /, was a fluid leak and I replaced the with new.

The software can be reflashed with a STAR DAS at the dealer. When you replaced the speed sensor did you adapt it with a STAR? You need to get the car onto a Star or do you have developer mode with your Carsoft package?

I realize I have not adapted, because I don't have a STAR DIAG. And in the Mercedes WIS, not write that this sensor to adapt, just replaced. And on, Carsoft, how do I know if I have a developer mode. This additional menu, is it?
I have MB Carsoft 7.4

Glyn, ha no developer mode on CS 7.4.
This is the hacked Chinese version.
Limited capabilities, but a great value and better than just plain
OBD reader.
Sounds like you found your problem.
Wow, that tranny sounds VERY cool,
manual AND auto mode.
How come we only got the slush box?
That would be the best of both worlds.
The computer makes the gear changes for you,
no blown shifts, long wear on the clutch plate,
and no 20 HP loss of power.
WHY Mercedes WHY!?
I want it!! And with shift paddles.
When you get it working, I'd love to see video of it in action.

When everything is fine, will shoot the video
If I buy this Mercedes Benz Mb Star C3 Pro, if I can reprogram and adapt, so at least write about it, but do not know anyone to buy it, to tell me how and whether. If you really gonna do the job will buy it.
Thank you for the information!
Greetings!

I believe that that will do the job - Looks like the same multiplexer the dealers use. You will obviously need a full copy of the latest STAR software.
