Question 19" Tire question

I just bought SSW S19 wheel 8.5 front, 9.5 rear. I have a 2001 C240 with stock suspension.

1. Does 235/35 and 265/30 TOYO T1R tires fits my car with no rubbing issues?

2. What is the ride quality like compaes to my stock 16" contis

3. Any other tires size you would recommend for better ride quality?

Thanks for input.

The comfort of my ride with that size is very good...I have 2003 c240 the fit is pretty tight in my opinion...I didn't rub at first, but now I rub when I turn the wheel all the way....but that is only because I changed my headlights myself and when putting the bumper back on, it must have not gone on exactly as it was previously...

1. those are the correct sizes. about 2% larger rolling diameter than stock though (FYI)

2. Ride should be somewhat harsher, but more responsive due to MUCH less sidewall.

3. no

i myself, well with the coupe would go for 18's , simply because you wont have to buy such low profile tires, less gas consumption than 19" rims, you wont have to baby your car driving it as much as you will have to 19s.. 1 friend of mine drove over a tiny pothole with 19" rims going like 60kms and his rim bent, probably because they were crappy rims, but still..

lol...unless you have an upgraded suspension, the potholes are pretty rough, but the ride for me was sorta close to stock on very smooth surfaces...luckily my rims were very strong...I hit tons of potholes this summer and my rims are still in almost perfect condition, which makes me very happy...and yes, i babied the car and drove like grandma with 19s

I dont know how much suspension difference there is between the 01 240 and a 02 c320 but i had to run a 15 series tire on my old 19's in order to not rub.

19's not chrome. Black center with chrome/polished lip would look good or just the brushed finish

Yes the 235-35-19's and the 265-30-19's should tuck perfectly with no rubbing issues. AS long as the offset is correct!!!!!

you can use front 225/35R19 and rear 255/30R19 instead. it's actually a closer match to the original overall diameter

5% too tall in overall diameter. Not suggested.

35F and 38R?That's what I have and same specs too. You might want to get round form 245s/255s, so that your inner sidewall tires don't rub with your inner fender. I have the boxy General UHP 265s and my rear tires were like REALLY sticking on the inner fender (Couldn't even be spun..), had to use 3 MM spacers, still do untill now.

The ride should be OK with 19s and stock suspension, BUT rubbing and bottoming out likely will happen pretty often. Are going to get new suspension? If not, I'd stick with the 16s.

Nice wheel tho
